The Giants have a meddling owners and maybe the Vikings. What the Patriots lost is a golden opportunity to pick up a premier WR like Legett and and blue chip LT. No worries though; the Patriots will be picking high again in 2025 and maybe then they can keep Kraft out of the draft room and...
I watched some highlights, not low lights, and Milton was incredible. Of course in the highlights you don't see the missed throws or mistakes, but watching the highlights, wow.
Yes, I did say incredible. He was accurate with an very quick release. He was able to look off the safety and make...
Grade B or C, maybe:
I am not a scout, and I don't know how to grade the draft. On paper it does not look that great since the Patriots did not land a blue ship OT or WR and took a huge gamble at QB..or at least it seems that way. So it would appear that the Patriots head into this season...
BB certainly did not think so. Now BB may have his draft weaknesses (as far as WRs and second round CBs), but he is way above anyone else on this forum.
It does not seem to be in the Patriots plans. Since they seems so hopeless in FA, I assume that the Patriots want build through the draft and would be loath to deal away draft picks.
I just wish they had traded back this year. Apparently they could have gotten the Giants 6 and a first next...
Yeah, but then we would not have had to draft Strange and could have drafted Pro Bowler Tyler Smith at LT or Tyler Linderbaum at C/G.
That was an incredible whiff, a cascade effect of organizational cheapness. I gotta think that the Krafts were behind this...
At this point we do not know who the screw-up is in the Patriots organization that resulted in such a pathetic off season. Was it Wolf or Kraft? Why fire Wolf when it was Kraft that screwed up?
And we do not know if the decision to eschew trading down and taking Maye at 3 was a Wolf decision...
Yup, again this is yet another risky "strategy". The Patriots could have gotten a serviceable LT in the FA period or a blue chip, road-grader, big galoot LT by trading down in the draft, but instead the Patriots seemed to have closed their eyes and hoped that the problem at LT goes away. A...
So what the hell are the Patriots thinking for LT? It is only the most important position on the line and Patriots don't seem to have much of an answer. The Patriots whiffed on an LT during the FA season and then drafted a right tackle in the third round. Are the Patriots going to depend on a...
So how do you really feel?
Such a violent response seems unwarranted right now. Let's see how the season plays out this season. I have been wrong before, and I hope I am this time, but....
Trading back would have been the safe move, the move with the lowest floor, but maybe not...
Remember, if the Patriots did the trade with Minnesota (all things being equal), they could have picked up JJ McCarthy at 10 plus Brian Thomas/Troy Fautanu/Xavier Worthy at 17....and an extra first next year....and some other goodies the Vikings offered when the Patriots were on the clock. Holy...
According to Breer, the Patriots rejected trade offers for #3 from the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.
Breer: "“Earlier this week, Minnesota offered the Nos. 11 and 23 picks, and its 2025 first-rounder, with pick swaps favoring the Vikings as part of the proposal; and that offer ticked...
