Mac Jones was 14-of-18 for 124 yards against the blitz (sacked once) and 7-of-10 for 71 yards and a TD against pressure. This was the biggest takeaway for me. We know he's accurate from a clean pocket, but we hadn't really seen him perform under pressure and he looked fantastic.
Great article on Jimmy G’s flaws and limitations
Lazar: Jimmy Garoppolo's Super Bowl Performance Solidifies System Quarterback Status | CLNS Media
He’s no Tom Brady. That’s for sure
My vote is Shanahan. At the point of Mahomes' 4th quarter interception, the #49ers had ran the ball 15 times for 117 yards - 7.8 yards per carry. They only ran it four more times for the rest of the game, and even then, Raheem Mostert averaged 7.3 per rush. Shanahan abandoned the run up 20-10. Why?
Garoppolo's Super Bowl was bad. He threw an interception early. He had an absolutely dreadful 4th quarter including throwing another INT. He failed to score when his team needed him.
But unlike the OP, I'm not gonna gloat over it.
