I'm mainly concerned with eliminating the stupid play that crept into the Pats two seasons ago and overflowed last year.
It would be great if they could scare someone in the division but that's realistically another year away.

Polaris is a key feature in celestial navigation precisely because it does NOT move, giving a FIXED reference point above the North Pole. It is with reference to Polaris that, for example, the Vikings were able to know their latitude anywhere at sea whilst on their transatlantic voyages.
I don't think they have the faintest clue as to the role of the North Star ( i.e., Polaris, the Pole Star) in celestial navigation. You're right, these are just words to feel good by. Their actual meaning is irrelevant.

The key missing ingredient is brains. Mazzula and the Js don't seem to have enough to learn from past patterns of fail. Other teams, with smarter coaches and players, even though with lesser talent, will exploit that. I'll be surprised if they get past MIA; I'll be stunned if they go all the way.
Saturn 5 produces about 220 dB. Decibels are logarithmic; every increment of 10 represents a power increase of ten times. 300 dB would be 800 times more powerful than the sound emitted by a Saturn 5 rocket. That's some game prep.
