Re: AD talks, says he called in advance that he would be late

then BB should also suspend himself for making game-changing stupid calls

You don't know much about football, huh? It's pretty obvious. You sound like a disgruntled employee.

Re: AD:"They really don't give a damn"

I know he costs us money if we cut him and have to eat it. I'm not saying do it right now, but at this point, is there really any other alternative? The guy has no accountability for his own actions.

You can still pay him and demote him.

Don't dress him, see if he blows up, and if he does just suspend him with pay.

His salary is guaranteed for the season. The Patriots are only worried about the cap hit.

If there's one thing this thread proves, it's that some folks are AWESOME at hindsight.

Re: AD:"They really don't give a damn"

except that none of them except AD has already been admonished this year.

there is an obvious conflict of personality between the 2. and I blame BB for that since thomas would have never been here had BB not offered him a contract

Possibly the DUMBEST comment seen this year.......... please put this in the "end of year" nominations.

Put him on the shelf for the rest of the year.

I'm in with this team for the long haul. I'd rather lose with his replacement to make an example of this clown and miss the playoff's, then deal with his antics, perhaps win a game or two more, make the playoff's, only to get embarrassed by a real team.

It's about excising the cancer with chemo. It'll make you feel like sh!t for a little while, but in the end, you'll come out all the better and healthier for it.

And you wouldn't be here had your parents never met.

But you don't see us criticizng your parents.

He sounds like a spoiled 13 year old, and his schtick is getting tiresome.

So true. Everything is BB's fault, he's horrible. The three Super Bowl wins were all part of an elaborate plan to ruin the Pats years later. It's all coming together now....

I'm not clear on why he's even a Pats fan. Probably a troll. I'll just add him to my ignore list :)

Re: AD: "They really don't give a damn"

ahhh, sweet silence

This message is hidden because tanked_as_usual is on your ignore list.

Guyton got a pass? Why, did he not get the same punishment as AD? He did, just like he should have. AD gets more sh!t for this, and from the team because it's 2nd act of douche-baggary this season (the other, which we don't know the full details of) results in his healthy-scratch.

Guyton has obviously gotten a pass on this from people on this message board and from the media. Are you seriously pretending that he hasn't? Feel free to find all the posts bashing Guyton and stack them up against the AD bashing posts.

As for the so-called 1st act of "douche-baggary", you have no idea what happened there, yet you're passing that judgment. That's just ridiculous.

I'm fuggin tired of the AD experiment. And yeah, at this point, I'd rather see a scrub in there in his place on principle, even if it cost's us a game or two. I'm in for the long haul, I'd rather see BB go nuclear on this soft-azz defense and right-off the season to get this house back in order, then sacrifice principles and let this stuff fester for another win or two to get into the playoff and get smoked in one game.

AD might be wearing a Patriot jersey (for now), but he sure ain't no Patriot at this point. I say shelve his azz for the rest of the season (ala Glenn) and cut him in the off-season.

Wednesdays are the days that teams put in the game plans. Sending the players home because they were a few minutes late due to weather, particular when the player calls ahead to explain the situation, is detrimental to the entire team since it puts players behind the 8-ball with regards to getting prepared for the game. Nine minutes late for a meeting is nothing compared to missing the whole day.

In other words, Belichick made a move that has the potential to harm the effort of the entire team, and he did it because weather made a few players tardy by a small amount of time. He could have fined the players, which is something I pointed out in another thread. Now, Reiss has pointed out:

I'd just add one thing: On Monday, Belichick talked to the team about showing more commitment. Said they needed to arrive early. Stay late. Don't be running out of the building. When this happened two days later, I think it adds important context to Belichick's decision.

Chat: Chat with ESPNBoston's Mike Reiss - SportsNation - ESPN

which helps explain why Belichick overreacted. And he did overreact, IMO.

Re: AD talks, says he called in advance that he would be late

Ted Johnson talked about being late once in his career with Belichick. He knew what his options and consequences would be. He chose to miss the entire meeting rather than walk in in front of his teamates and HC and never even considered making the call that he could have avoided had he left earlier... Cost him $5K and he was down with that. But that was in another day and time and on another team unlike the one AD thinks he signed onto.

Somebody should have asked AD how many times he's called and just been fined...

Felger kept playing the clip from the postgame locker room after the first Miami game yesterday. Belichick congratulated them on a hard fought game and warned them there were more to come including Indy next and therefore they would be in tomorrow...You could hear a chorus of groans in the background, so he reiterated we will be in tomorrow - last week was your week off...

Felger's issue with the clip was he couldn't imagine that scenario happening a couple of seasons ago. Said it was antithetical to everything this team has stood for in the Belichick years. And he was right.

I believe it was from an on-air interview with Breer that the cornerbacks are big b!tchers/complainers. I'd like to get a better sense of who, specifically, these malcontents are aside from Adalius.

Re: AD: "They really don't give a damn"

To be fair tanked_as_usual, that comment about the contract being BB's fault really is one of the dumbest things I've ever read here. Pretty weak troll dude.

Are you talking about pass rush? So you are complaining than an OLB has to pass rush against an OT "1 on 1"? That's the way it's supposed to be.

If he's lined up at 9 tech or at 4-3 OLB, if he can't beat a player 1 on 1 then he can't play in the NFL, plain and simple.

guess you haven't watched the pats too much......so then who helps the OG with seymour? the OT first assists with contact on seymour then moves out on the OLB. why else do you think so many pats OLB sacks in the past were where the OLB was untouched?

how many plays has thomas lined up as 4-3 OLB?

hehe......just because I'm not blind to the mistakes BB has made?

go hold hands with the other dingle-berries in the BB underwear brigade

why? everyobody here says signing thomas was a bad move.....who made that move?

kind of smells like BB trying to deflect to the player his own mistake in signing him in the first place

Adalius Thomas is nothing without a Ray Lewis to get in his face and shout at him.

You know who wasn't a complainer? Ellis Hobbs. Just saying...
