Congratulations to tedster822 for winning the Suicide Pool last week.

tedster squeaked out a win when Cleveland beat Carolina last week on a Panther FG that hit the upright as time expired, while Miguel went with Oakland, who lost to Miami despite the coast to coast travel.

Congrats, and thanks to all that participated.

congrats. i had a fun time putting it together and getting people involved. i would be happy to do it again next year. i did lose interest quickly since i was put out in week 2.

i might have mentioned it in this thread already.....the cowboys ****ed me

Is anyone into doing the suicide league again this year? If so I would be happy to run it. It was fun last year.

Traditionally, a suicide pool is you pick one team per week to win straight up. No point spread, just to outright win. If you win, you advance to the next week. If you lose you're eliminated.

The catch is that you can only pick a team once. So for example you take the obvious pick in Week 1 and go Baltimore Ravens over New York Jets. Then you can no longer pick the Ravens the rest of the year.

Kidding about the Ravens being the obvious pick in Week 1, and to be honest there really is no great pick Week 1 this year. Currently I'm leaning towards Titans over Raiders for my big money pool, I just don't trust Vince Young completely. Not many other great options though.

Vince Young is on the Eagles....

yeah sorry i accidentally read the beginning of the thread not the most recent comment.
No problem; sorry if I came across harshly. I've done the same thing more than once when somebody else responded to and bumped an ancient thread.

I wish messageboard software would automatically close threads to further responses that have not had a new comment after a certain amount of time, say 30 days. That way they are still there for viewing and people can link to them, but to me it makes more sense to start a new thread rather than bring dead ones back to life.

Is there a Suicide pool this year? I always want to get in it but I never think of it until after the season has started.

Is anyone reviving this pool? had a lot of members last year, but cant seem to find one on here for this year. only have a few more hours!

I don't think this game is too big of a deal...hoping someone steps up by Saturday.

There are two set up and ready to go; let's decide on one, spread the word and get it going.

Another league setup for Pats Fans from that column:

League Name: PatsFans.com
League ID: 1720

Concept: Select one winner each week in an NFL game; however, once you use a team, you cannot use that team again for the rest of the season.

I don't care which one we choose; let's just decide on one and get the league going before 1:00 PM Sunday.
