I could see Buffalo scoring Samuel. They're passing defense is awful and they will probably have ~$30M of cap room to play with. I could even see the New Orleans Saints spending the money on him.
Doesn't bother me. Just seems like somehow, someway, the Patriots managed to make their damn near perfect team seem flawed to the point where they could lose this game. Talk about mind tricks.
Simple: pick a team, draft with them. Everything is legal, trading, missing your pick, everything. The only rule is players may NOT be traded. This is only a mock DRAFT, not a mock off-season.

I watched it unfold. The Patriots put Moss in the slot a lot, a lot of the time against a linebacker and a safety. The flea-flicker was a sight to see. Brady literally turned a defender. The fumble the Patriots had overturned was actually supposed to be a HB Pass. Faulk took it out and...
Just played the game on All-Madden with 5 minute quarters. Just an embarrassment. The game started off decently enough, the Giants exchanged touchdowns with the Patriots to make it 7-7. Brady tossed a TD to Moss, Giants ran it in with Jacobs. Then the Patriots scored again to Moss. And then...
Perhaps I am getting a bit too creative here, but I can see something like this occurring:
The Patriots trade the seventh overall pick to Dallas for the 22nd and 28th overall picks. The Patriots trade the 22nd overall pick to the 49ers for their 2009 first round pick. The 49ers move ahead...
Trade down for some later picks, 2009 first. Nothing else to take from here really. Maybe trade the pick for a decent linebacker or corner and a 2009 first.
Pre-Season, Week Two
Despite the trade of Kelley Washington to the Bears, apparently Donte Stallworth is still being shopped. No news to report, but word is that offers have been put on the table and are being considered.
Week Two: Tennessee (1-0) 17, New England (1-0) 35

(I will be focusing more on roster moves then the games themselves in the preseason, so I will be posting the score and some observations in regards to the games. Also, thank you to those who commented. I will be simulating games in my attempt to keep it more realistic then constant winning...
(For those of you who have never seen this concept, I will take over the New England Patriots as of the start of the 2007 season and become their general manager. I will handle all of the roster moves, etc. I will simulate the games on Madden 2008, and report it all back to you here. I will...
Hello there,
I am new here (obviously) and I was wondering where I would place a certain thread. I was going to start a Madden 2008 dynasty and keep a log of it online. I would post all the game reports and NFL news, transactions, inner-workings. Not sure if anyone here has ever seen this...
Well, from what I heard Posey was running his mouth a bit more than even I like as a Celtics fan. I really hope somebody like Garnett or Doc shuts down any ****iness because the Celtics have not won anything yet.
(The edit was for another word for arrogance, in case you're wondering.)
Lowrie is touted the same way Pedroia was coming out of the minor leagues, IMO. I think this is all smoke coming from the Yankees, and I don't really see them landing Santana. Then again, I don't see the Red Sox pulling the trigger either. Maybe he'll end up on the Mets? I think I would be...
I don't see the Patriots drafting a linebacker in the early rounds, especially with their first round pick. Bill and Scott do not like project linebackers, and if they are going to take one they believe they can find the same raw talent in the third or even fourth round. I feel as though the...
We have had a lot of issues against a hybrid running game, such as Joseph Addai and Brian Westbrook. I see a lot of eight men in the box, a lot of odd blitz packages, and a lot of abnormal zone coverages. They will try their best to bring heat from three and four different areas while not...
