Yeah, I thought the spread was around there (and it makes sense - these games tend to be close and the home team gets 3 points) but was more curious if there was the sort of overwhelming support for the Pats that this year's crop of media folks seem to be showing. At least from my travels it...
At this point literally nothing would surprise me as the final SB matchup (all of the surprises were ousted this weekend). My prediction is Denver defeating Atlanta but if you put me in a coma for the next month and told me the results I'd just shrug my shoulders and say "makes sense"
That's what his camp said it was. Why do you actually believe it? "Adderall" has just turned into the excuse of the day. I wish the league would publish what the players actually popped for so we wouldn't have to see our intelligence questioned.
2001. Like that one I didn't really expect the Pats to get to the 'ship and I'm not very confident of a win. I'm *more* confident than I was in '01, but not by much.
Throw in the "team of destiny" type stuff going on in both seasons and it's a lock.
I'd say neither team.
On one hand it'd be the Pats as less flags would help to make up for their coverage deficiencies.
On the other hand it'd be the Giants as it'll help them cram up the middle.
Either 27-24 Giants or 30-27 Giants. I think it comes down to the 3 points though, and it'll be in the upper 20s. Particularly w/ Gronk's injury, I just don't see the Pats being able to pull it out.
Hopefully I'm wrong.
That's because it's not the flu that's going around.
Again, I don't understand why everyone chalks every illness up to "the flu", typically when people have "the flu" they don't have influenza.
This. Usually when people have the "flu", they don't really have influenza. Unfortunately, they then go and blame a faulty flu vaccine or something like that.
For better or worse, the term "flu" has become a generic term in our lingo.
Right, that was my basic point.
It's so hard to directly compare the OL from the two seasons as they're not really being asked to do the same things.
Me neither, but I'm much more afraid of their offense than I was of the Ravens, and about equally as afraid overall as I was of the Ravens...
To be honest, that's about how I feel as a fan - for the first time since the '01 SB. I never expected the Pats to make it this far, so honestly I'm just happy that they got here. Would I be happier if they won? Of course I would, but I won't be devastated as I was in '07, nor do I expect them...
