Looking at how defences have changed. It seems to be that the 3-4 D is dead. D wins the SB and it has been 10 years since the Pats held the Lombardi. It may be time to start adopting a D that looks more the like the SB Giants/Seahawks rather than the the Pats have been playing.
Thoughts?
Its time to clean house.
I think it needs to start with bringing in real GM. Sorry Bill but you are not cutting it anymore.
Then we need to get a new DC and an OC with some smarts. The era of Chuck and duck is over. Sorry, Tom but your glory days have passed.
Move along on the OL. Matt...
I am reading all of the threads and its amazing how all the "peripheral" players are somehow responsible for yesterday's loss. I watched the game and it seems like Goundhog Day with this team.
The oppponent makes adjustments and our coaches can't seem to understand that the game has an ebb...
I was just wondering, since there is a lockout and the CBA is done. Can the NFL fine a player for bad conduct?
I was done in Orlando and I ran it into a couple of players that were having a very good time. When I asked them iof they were worried about the league fining them they just laughed...
When the new CBA is finally implemented there is a chance that 1st rd draft picks will be under contract for 4 years. Then they will be Free Agents.
I wonder if there will be a shift in how teams draft. Will 1st rd picks be seniors that are ready to immediately step in and will underclassmen...
Well like I said, I have too much time on my hands.
I was listening to 98.5 last night and there is one thing that the NFLPA is suing about that is a bit of a surprise. The TV Deal. The Players Association say that the deal is a walking anti-trust violation.
If the TV deal is thrown out of...
OK, granted weei does not always have the best guests but yesterday I was listening to the 10-2pm show and they had a guy on talking about the NFLPA lawsuit.
If the NFLPA should win they could conceivable win 7.5 billion in damages. This would essentially drive the league into bankruptcy...
Ok, granted I am not an attorney and yes I do not play one on TV, lol.
The owners have opted out of the CBA. Last year was the last year of the CBA. If the players are locked out as expected on 3/4/2011 since there is not a contract in place, how can a player be Franchised?
If the contract...
I have read on more that one draft site that the Pats will not deal with Condon after the ben Watson fiasco. The Pats blame Condon for the change in contract length for 1st rd draft choices.
Thoughts???
I think that everyone agrees that a lockout is bad for business but I wonder if a few franchises might actually fold.
If you look at the Panthers, Bengals and Bills they could easily be out of business.
The owners seem to be missing the fact that just because there will not be a Pro...
Ike Taylor..I am going to lay out Santonio Holmes
Ike Taylor: I'll Lay Santonio Holmes Out -- NFL FanHouse
I think BB would have a fit. I like this guy. There is nothing wrong with confidence.
I find it funny that the Jets are quiet as a church mouse. They know that the Steelers will...
When you think about prior championship teams they were really well balanced. We had a running game, a tenacious defense and really good special teams.
Now it seems to be..Tom will win it for us. Tom will do this. Tom will do that.
I mean seriously, this team needs to be rebalanced...
Looking at some draft sites they will advocate that the DL makes the CB better. Others say that a shutdown CB allows the DL more time to get to the QB?
Which would you rather see the Pats draft..a shutdown corner or DL/OLB that can get to the QB..
I have a feeling that there will be a new CBA before the draft. If there is do you think that the Pats will change their draft strategy?
Trade picks for next year?
Just reload this year and be done with it?
Reload this year with a bunch of us going .."Who is that guy?"
Thoughts....
I know that many of us are enjoying this fine holiday season and a great Pats season.
The Toys for Tots program is getting flooded with requests for toys so that kids don't wind up with an empty Christmas stocking.
I understand that the economy is really lousy but please consider giving a...
Many of the mock draft guys look at players based on their time on the 40 or how they could be in the pro's.
How many kids coming out this year could play in the New England system?
How would your rank them by position?
