Im a titans fan here just wondering around and i was wondering how many of you guys this a week one upset is possible. The Titans front 7 have looked really good in preseason. How do you guys think brady and the boys will fare against them.:beatingcoming:

You guys dont stand a chace against us. You have no way of stopping Brady with all the weapons he has arounf him. With Gronk, Hernandez, and Welker we will put up at least 5 TD's. Good luck!!

I can easily find plenty of reasons why the Titans will win, as well as plenty of reasons why the Patriots will win.

Titans > Pats: Pats OL has not done a good job in pass protection, which could lead to incomplete passes, turnovers and sacks. Run blocking is not much better and the RBs are unproven. While the defense has added Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower, they are unproven rookies that may not offset the loss of Mark Anderson and Andre Carter. While Steve Gregory is an upgrade compared to those who played safety last year, he's not the second coming of Ed Reed. Which Devin McCourty shows up, the 2011 version or the 2010 version? Chris Johnson is an elite RB. Pats defense has had trouble with young QBs the last couple of years. The D also has trouble with some tight ends, so Jared Cook could be in for a big game. Kamerion Wimbley is an immediate improvement to the Titans defense and should feast on a Pats OL that has not performed well this off season.

Pats > Titans: Titans haven't adequately addressed the departure of Cortland Finnegan. Tennessee has no answer for covering Gronkowski and Hernandez. Oh yeah, there's that Wes Welker guy too. Clog the middle of the field and Brandon Lloyd will burn you. New OC Josh McDaniels makes it tougher on opposing defenses by also featuring the RBs more, whether it be carrying the ball or with screen passes. Front seven is better with Rob Ninkovich and Jones at DE, and at LB they're solid with Jerod mayo, Brandon Spikes and Hightower. Ras-I Dowling comes back from IR to upgrade the CB position, allowing Kyle Arrington, who led the NFL in interceptions last year, to cover the slot receiver. Steve Gregory solidifies the safety spot that was manned by players who had no business being on the field last year; their being out of position so often caused most of the pass coverage problems in 2011.

Bottom line is that it should be a good game. Could easily go either way. There are a few threads and blog entries previewing the game that will offer you a lot more thoughts; be sure to check them out:

A bit better then last year but still a blow out.

Titans have been than good chance. The secondary is STILL complete crap. Guess BB learned nothing from last season.

Pats looked good this week. Shoutout to Chandler Jones who had a great 1st game.

tough loss this weekend. got to bounce back next week.
