I have not read this entire thread so apologies if this has already been said but I don't really have a problem with the signing as long as he is not a QB. CSN reported that he is expected to be in mini camp tomorrow learning the TE position. Fine with me. We turned Edelman from a college QB into a very good punt returner and decent receiver. If he can help us, I like it.

Here's all WE NEED to know about the Tebow signing...

Number 1: Bill Belichick WANTS HIM....and feels like there is some valuable commodity to his being signed here. Either he can help coach Tebow to where his throwing motion can be improved and he can play some backup for now....OR he is going to utilize him in some other role

Number 2: There is hardly anyone that can compete with Tebow in regards to his FIERY COMPETITIVENESS on the football field......IF he makes it through to the season and accepts HIS ROLE (whatever that may be on this team) He could and should be a VERY POPULAR Player for the fans...because there is NO QUIT in him and he gives it everything he has on EVERY PLAY. The guy has the HEART to be a great Patriot........you really can't dispute that.....

You can laugh at the kid....or you can Rally around him....because either way he is a NE Patriot today......Let's give him a chance and let BB and McD work their magic or decide they can't get it done...but again....You can not question his heart, dedication, athleticism, and commitment.......Give the kid a chance here guys.......

There are no Calliopes at Gillette, and Tebow's won more playoff games as a Bronco than has Manning. Plus, Jets fans will be going nuts. I don't see any downside.

The only downside I see is if he ever gets a snap at QB. I am fine if he wants to play on special teams, FB or TE.

I'm fine with Jets fans going nuts. But he's a god awful quarterback. The fact that his team won a playoff game against a defense that was too inept to change their ways and played right to Tebow's few strengths doesn't change that. The following week, the second worst pass defense of all time took a page out of their own playbook from earlier in the year (which was an instance of them taking a page out of Saban's playbook in 2009) and proceeded to completely humiliate him. Plus I'm not sure why you don't think the media will be tearing each other apart in order to get a report on whether or not Tebow had a soft stool on that particular day, given the media frenzy that's followed him since he came into the league.

That's simply not true. Your opinion, despite being shared and echoed by many, runs counter to the facts. Tebow was a tremendous success as a starting QB. That's the irony for the Tebow haters.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in his full year with DEN his completion % was 46.5%. Lowest in the league by almost 5 points. He was NOT a good QB by any measure. His team was a success in spite of his performance not because of it.
