The Official Patriots vs Bengals Game Thread

The Patriots are on the verge of improving to 39-1 when a Patriot reaches 100-yards rushing since 2001.

Balance wins games folks, BALANCE.

Or you run when you're ahead by a lot and pass when you're behind by a lot. This is one of the most textbook cases of "correlation does not equal causation" in existence. Just look at the last drive of this game vs. the last few drives of the Miami game.

That said, I agree with the overall point, even if that stat doesn't necessarily bear it out.

40 on the "best team in the NFL"... I didn't expect this kind of output - but gladly surprised.

Thank God i decided to wear my new Bruins hat backwards while watching this tonight, it worked right from the start.

Is that 4 or 5 that have hit Gronk in the hands and ended up on the turf?

Some of them have been bad throws but got to make them if you get both hands on it.

Gronk isn't going low to get balls like he used to. Not too surprising, since he's not 100% yet and I doubt he has his full range of motion and reflexes back.

I remember when people wanted to cut Gost because "he wasn't worth the money".

YES.....EAT SH*T TATE.....

So glad im on central time, these night games and the tv timeouts.....jeez.

Who would have thought Wendell at RG, Connolly at lg and stork at center would be a working combo?

Nice ST tackle there by Ryan. Played off the blocker and took the ball carrier down. Great work!

Low throws are high percentage catches because it gives the DB covering virtually no chance of getting a hand on it let alone picking it off. They work on it in practice all the time it's just he's not quite 100% Gronk but he's coming...

Like the offensive play calling today. Basically O'Brien's playbook. 2 tight ends. Most from under center and NOT spread shotgun. Ran a lot even in the first half. Controlled the clock and also played complementary football helping your defense rest. McDaniels is both stupid and stubborn, but smart enough to pull O'Brien's playbook when his own job is inching towards insecurity.

.

OK, Edelperson needs one more catch. :)

I think the Bengals expected it. After that embarrassing loss last week, I thought for sure that they would talk trash during the week. Not one comment from them. When a good team loses like that, they come back in anger the next week. I underestimated them. I'm owning up to it.:p
