I wish Belichick coached my team. I don't blame him for gaining in advantage if he doesn't think the penalty will outweigh it.

I do hope the Pats win the Super Bowl so more people can whine about this though. At least this makes the Super Bowl week somewhat entertaining.

I'll echo that I don't really blame Belichick, and I kinda admire his brazen disregard for basically everything.

The whole BB package is pretty wild. He just doesn't GAF. He knows Roger Goodell won't do anything so why would he? It makes me hate Roger Goodell that much more but strangely I'm fine with BB.

This is pretty much my thoughts as well.

I probably should mind Belichick more, but I don't.

He's curt and sometimes obnoxious to reporters, and I have no doubt he'd do anything he could get away with to win a game, but he's just so, so, so good at what he does that I find it amazing to witness.

The NFL is full of really smart, monomaniacal coaches who'd think nothing of breaking any rule if they thought they could get away with it and Belichick beats them and has for years, in a post-cap world that requires him to reinvent teams from year to year and even week to week.

Big deal, deflated footballs. Integrity of the game. Yeah. Sorry, I understand I should be outraged but I don't feel it.

I simply hate that I can't enjoy regular SB build-up. That's part of the experience of your team making it to the big game. None of us is playing in the game, so the hype leading up to it is something that should be special to a fan. Whether the allegations are true or false, they are having a profound impact on how I'm enjoying the fact that at the end of the day it is MY TEAM, OUR TEAM that is representing in the big game . . . especially after how the season started. This should be a special time that somehow feels less special to me, sadly.

I've said it a few times on this board and it wasn't a popular comment. I love that Bill goes the extra mile to gain an edge, it's all part of the package. You can't take the 6 super bowl appearances without Bill pushing the envelope like this. You can't take the good without the bad. Just accept this is how the coach is and appreciate that he would lie to his mother to win a football game. I love this guy and I stand by him.

This thing has ruined it for me.Its not about the game anymore. We already have haters. Now we are gonna have even more. Its just asinine to do this after spygate.Almost very arrogant

Yup. As I said yesterday a coach like BB is high risk, very high reward. He knows the rules, and he will do anything to get an edge. He'll push the letter of the rules to their limit. Which is what I'd like to think happened here and not just blatant cheating. The upside is all this success. The downside is, well, this.

We have no idea who did this or if it was even done on purpose. Plus it's amazing that people care about what other people think so much that this "ruins a super bowl".

Well thats all you gonna hear about.Deflate-gate.I will wait to see how this all ends.Losing the game will make things worse

But this is Bill. Hes gonna do everything in his power to get an edge. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

I'd like to think its all upside for patriots fans, and all downside for the other 31 teams. People shouldn't be bothered by this. If you want to route for a team that wins with honor, then maybe you will get to witness one super bowl in your lifetime. I'll ride with the coach that cuts corners and bends rules and gets us to the AFC title game like 80 percent of the time.

That is true... except the downside goes without saying when the NFL decides to take away 1st round draft picks or suspend him...

The best part about the latest sob story from a loser is that it's coming from a team that cheated to get a QB on their team. I can't wait 'til we see them next season and put up 60 on them.

I doubt Bill Belichick, regardless of how Machiavellian he may or may not be, had any input into ball pressure. If it's on anyone other than the refs, it's Brady.

Respect. I NEVER said it ruined the SB. I said it's ruining my experience of the build up. I'm listening to Gresh and Zo and, at a time when the discussion should be about match-ups and strategy and the two perceived best teams in the league this past season are in the game, we're talking about this. I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that this has not impacted the build up to this point.

It's possible that this won't be as prevalent next week, but I doubt in reality that that's the way it'll play out. This will be talked about next week and after the SB and any time the success of the Patriots is talked about. And, again respectfully, I think anyone who is saying they don't care what's being said by other people are a lot of the same people that take pride in the Pats winning. Well, why do you do that? It's the same concept. What other people think, to a degree, is always going to matter somewhat. I would agree, however, with anyone who says that the person does dictate how much it matters or should matter.

With all that said, I will be absolutely ECSTATIC about a SB victory and am still very much focused on that. The players deserve it and they'll have an opportunity to earn it in a few weeks time. GO PATS!

Well worth it in my opinion.

Look, I see where you are coming from, and I somewhat agree with you, but we should also point out our own hypocrisy in doing so (yes, myself included). After all, this 'cutting corners" and "bending rules" that we are right now condoning and futhermore praising, aren't they the same reason we have outwardly vilified players such as Barry Bonds and AROD?

So by my count that's is now THREE Patriots Super Bowls with headlines that are outside of the actual Super Bowl matchup........

SB 31 - The big story was Parcells - will he stay? will he go? will he be able to shop for his own groceries?

SB 42 - Spygate resurfaces, this time it's all about whether or not the Ram's practices were taped.

SB 49 - Deflate - gate, Pats suspected of tampering with balls in AFCCG.

Unreal. Just when you thought the dumbest and most gullible fans in the NFL resided in NY, Baltimore, and Indy a quick visit over to Seahawks.NET exposes a fair number of their posters to be equally as dumb with the stuff I'm reading in a thread titled with "Belicheat" in it. Some of them are even rubbing the nuts of one poster pretending to be a Patriot's fan and saying that he has had enough of the cheating and will no longer root for them in the Superbowl to protest. What a bunch of "nubs".
