N’Keal Harry Requests Trade

Pure garbage.

Law tried to shoot his way out of town.

Branch shot his way out of town.

Mankins called out the org.

Michael Bennett acted like an idiot.

All occurred when Brady was here.

Harry is just an idiot.

Yeah, and Johnson has had his own contentions with the organization in the past. So whether he's actually right or wrong, he's not a reliable narrator.

I think they’re gearing up for a run heavy 2 TE offense. That formula can win you some games but with Cam and Mac at QB there will be some mistakes that put the defense in a bad spot sometimes and you will need firepower to come back. The league isn’t built for clock chewing running game offenses anymore. It’s basketball on grass. You need to keep up with the high powered offenses.
wanted to leave the qb out of it for now... kinda an abstract look at it... cam aint it and mac is at least a year away

lot of the pass production will continue to be run thru the rb platoon i would suppose... with the thought that better TE play will spring them loose...

he sucked, and Bill got rid of him i think you meant to say
Yes, that was the joke. Marsh’s best use was for him not to be on the team.

I agree. If the whole “Bill liked Harry because he nailed the interviews” thing is true then how the hell did we get here? It’s not just the trade request either, it’s the trainer blaming Cam, and also the whispers that he wasn’t putting in the work.
Sounds like they need to re-eval their interview process. Jesus.

You’re correct, but I don’t remember anything about Law. He just left after the ‘04 season where he was injured.

Throw Moss in there too. I don’t think Brady did enough to put out the fire there.

How about Gronk?
Law talked major **** about Bill after the 03 season.

Yep- Gronk and Moss both pissed on BBs leg when they were here. Sulked. Complained.

Agree it’s hard to remove the QB. I think last year their receiving group was a D and this year I think they’re a C+ but if you factor in the 2 TEs I think the refining group bumps up to a B+. Granted this is all on paper and if the ball is bouncing off their shins none of this matters.

Refresh my memory. Did it have to do with his injuries?

Does anyone remember if Samuel was a problem publicly after the 2006 season when he wanted to get paid?

What about Adalius Thomas?

OK you're right. It wasn't a group choice, we burned a 1st round pick on Laurence Maroney not due to group choice but because Josh McDaniels' brother, Ben McDaniels, was Maroney's coach at Minnesota. I forgot that. Thanks for the reminder. It wasn't a group choice.

.
I am right. Josh doesn't make the picks.

You can play the Kevin Bacon game re; Josh all you want.

How exactly is "the magnitude of the draft pick is irrelevant"? A bad pick in the early rounds can set a team back at that position for 2-3 years (maybe even longer depending on the position. If you're planning your roster and you say "okay we have player X ready to start at (blank) position" and then guess what he can't start/play well at that position then what do you really have? By the time you wait and out and confirm that guy can't play you're likely getting subpar play in that position and you have burned a couple years waiting on him to show up.

This whole "the draft is a crapshoot" thing is nonsense. Millions and millions of dollars are spent on the draft each year between scouting, interviews, workouts, investments into said player's training/contracts. It may not be a science but this isn't just a bunch of guys throwing darts against a wall.

Yes, poor draft choices in the first half of the first round do significantly hurt a team.

However, I do NOT believe that a poor pick or two in the early rounds set back a team for years. Every team has misses, lots of them. Many players fail to meet hopes and expectations.

Blaming a poor pick or two for failure doesn't make sense to me. I understand that some fans here seem to believe that we would have won 10 Super Bowl out of the first 20 of the century, IF WE ONLY drafted as they wanted us to.

Might as well just put him on ignore. He's never shown any potential upside.
How many people do you have on ignore?

You have someone on ignore and can't see their stuff. Can you see it if others quote and go back & forth?

What Adalius Thomas?
I don't recall Asante talking trash the summer of 07. He was just playing hardball.

AD and the Jetsons comment was a shot at BBs culture of accountability.

Refresh my memory.

Bill ran Johnson out on the practice field when he still had a concussion. Johnson was very bitter but says hes over it. IMO he isn't completely over it.

Josh isn't the problem, but he's not the solution either. The solution would probably involve moving on from Josh. It's not that he's a bad coach; he's not. It's that they need an outsider to come in here and either install a new system or revamp the existing system. The scouting/draft pick process, and the qualities they look for in players, need to be reevaluated and not by the same Tom Brady Patriots Dynasty group that's been there for 20 years. We've been going on about this, in this forum, for years now...and Harry should be the final alarm sounded. This group is simply unable to examine their own blind spots since they are all think alike. And it appears doing things the way they've worked in the past is to overlook that they no longer have the player who made these things work in the past.

That’s what I would like to know. If someone has you on ignore, wouldn’t they see you if someone else quoted you?

Yep, things were getting stale there and it was refreshing to see a group effort in the war room this year.

there is a lot of turn over on the staff... coaching and front office ... hardly a year goes by where we arent replacing one, the other or both... That Caserio lasted here for so long was kinda a one off
