maybe Strong gets Foxboro flu and they keep JJ on final 53.

Douglas when he was in there looked fantastic. He was getting great separation. Has potential to be the next Antonio Brown
I agree, long way to get there obviously, but every time I watch him I think AB, sans you know, the crazy

He deserves a spot over Harris and Strong I’ve always loved the kid.
I like both Harris and Strong but I think I have come around to JJ. Don't know why he doesn't get more play in season. I do think he brings a quickness and elusiveness that none of the other backs have so I think one of the others have to give way. Maybe stash Strong on IR.

Obviously, Sow did not look good on that bull rush sack, but that is something that is fixable. He just got too high in his stance. I didn’t look at the his play in detail last night. Did anyone play close attention to the rest of his performance? I’ve heard and read from a couple online sources that he looked solid otherwise but not sure if that is reality.

Add buffalo to the list of AFC East teams with major question marks at OT. Check out a couple of Bills fans message boards. They’re panicking that starting RT Spencer Brown is going to get Allen killed.

I didn’t watch the game but read that Zappe was 10-22 although he did throw a TD. Did he look bad given he completed less than 50% of his passes?
hard to tell. He started slow, holding on to the ball too long. Started hitting the slants on quick reads and settled in. I think BOB was telling him on the sidelines to go to the slants and he did.

U almost get the feeling that players like Pop, Malik and Bolden were locks to make the team the way they were played all game. Stinks for bolden.

Also, why don’t we ever consider JJ Taylor as our No. 3 back. I think he’s way better than Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong.
Pop was only in for a few plays. Bolden has potential but bubble, Malik makes it as QB3 or not at all.

If they have any sense, they'll keep 6 WR's on the final 53. Then, perhaps IR TT. They have to wait until week 1 to short-term IR someone, and they're not going to shelve TT all year. Because someone is going to get injured (JuJu and/or Parker) and we'll need the extra guy.
Sad, because the biggest $$ was put into the 2 oldest, injury-prone, WR's.

I think he will be okay. Nice job on the TD run. Still has upside. Steuber is not an option.

Not a big Thornton guy. Keep Boutte and Douglas. Bourne was really good last night. Parker not so much. Don't remember anything about JuJu.

Amazing how far we've fallen.
I used to love watching preseason to see all the backups potential, and which 4 or 5 pieces might be helpful in the coming seasons.
Now, we're looking for ANYTHING to be hopeful about for our starting lineup, just to try to be competitive THIS season.
In my objective view (when I override my heart) we're not going to be very good. Another mediocre season, scraping along, no playoffs.

Besides the injury, it was a pretty decent game with highs and lows. Guys get beat and I get it but Steuber's effort to recover the fumble was one of the worst things I've seen in 10+ years. He was the first to see the ball and looked at it as if it was a radioactive hot potato.

Steuber is a dead man walking
I remember early Kevin "What The" Faulk staring at the ball he'd fumbled when (was it GB?) recovered the ball. He went on to have a Great career.
That said, Steub is Dead To Me.

was it more than one?
Yes. I recall seeing at least a couple.

Announcers commented on it. Said his total for this preseason is double digits. Way too many. Remember it was a problem last year, so now opponents will be playing for it.

Just re-watched Boutte’s TD. Very impressive acceleration. Seems he will be a threat to break it any time he catches the ball. He mayve benefitted from catching the defense off guard, but if that’s really a factor it means the defense must always take him into consideration. Isn’t that the definition of a true #1 WR?

Boutte shook that guy out of his jockstrap

The way the roster has been constructed, this shouldn’t be a shock to anybody - especially when you consider how competitive the division looks now.

OL should’ve been the #1 priority.

Bouttes TD gave me some excitement, it's been a while I don't see a Patriots receiver making a TD like that, with that explosiveness, ball glued to his hands and making it look easy.

Reminded me some prime OBJ

Glad to see Keion didn't play.

Also Mapu didn't play. Which means they are really happy with him.
I think they are still happy with him but I'd guess his not playing has more to do with the fact he was only recently cleared for contact.

Somewhat off-topic, I wonder if changing "Twitter" to "X" was so that he could report everybody clicked through to the site (when they try to X out of embedded tweets, or Xs, or whatever you call them now.)

I do not see QB1 locked in at all.

Henry was wide open and there was a clean pocket. And, Jones never looked to his left on the strip sack. To me that is troubling and brings back memories of Mark Sanchez who was also oblivious to his surroundings. I do not get the impression that QB1 is in control, just like Sanchez.

Parker
Bourne
JuJu
Boutee
Douglas

Those are my 5. I expected Boutee to be frail, but the dude looks physical.
