PostGame Thread 2023 Week 4: Patriots Lose to the Cowboys 38-3 - PostGame Thread

Immediate Postgame Reactions
Tom Curran looks like an emotional loser right now trying to claim that Mac Jones souring on the Pats last year somehow lead to Bill trying to intentionally sabotage him from a coaching and GM standpoint. Why can’t things just suck for how they suck?
Curran has lost all his credibility as a competent, professional reporter.

He no longer reports information and then thoughtfully and carefully analyzes said info.

Instead he essentially functions as a rumor tabloid at this point. Histrionic, bombastic, sensational. He likes hearing himself speak and he enjoys sharing highly speculative, assumptive-driven, subjective gossip.

The guy really is insufferable IMO.

I don’t recall seeing a QB getting pulled in the third quarter before for “safety reasons” or whatever.

I'm not sure many people are complaining about the defense being a problem. The injuries obviously are but the defense was pretty good today even without considering how many players they have lost.
I'm going to agree to disagree. Dallas went conservative on offense because they already had a 28-3 lead. They took what the Pats gave them and the Pats gave them A LOT.

At best, this game would have been a shoot-out if the offense could have done something. But, Mac s**t the bed. It happens. I disagree with certain posters assessment of the receivers. They have enough talent. The issue is with the O-line. Mainly RT, but OC is average at best. How many times today did Jenkins just dismantle Andrews on running plays? It was ridiculous.

The game was a failure by Mac, B'OB and the O-line.

I'm sure people are going to start b**ching about depth at Corner, but being down 5 out of 7 corners is something no team can over-come.

Kyler is under contract...

Cardinals going nowhere and Dobbs playing well...

Kyler don't need no damn OL to block and make off platform throws...

Just sayin'....

If this season continues at this rate, empower Matt Groh to make trades at the deadline for draft picks next year. And if Belichick objects, he can go too.

I agree. « was ». This has to be torn down, I think. Not enough players on this roster can be counted upon for game changing plays.

Now, NE is so far away from the AFCCG that I can’t imagine going forward with this foundation.

i wouldn’t touch the defense, they are fine when healthy. Heck even when they we’re missing 3 of the top 4 corners they were fine. Just the offense needs a makeover

The Bengals are 1-3 and scoring less points than the Patriots in the first three games. Is Burrow suddenly bad?

Again, you cannot judge these things in a vacuum. The o-line was god awful the first two games. So was the running game. The receivers are mid at bedt.
Not even comparable. Burrow has had good seasons... Jones hasnt

Nobody should be mad or surprised at their results so far. This was a bad roster and coaching staff going into the season.

You can almost see the deformity from a torn biceps muscle in that pic.
