I don't normally complain about the refs never mind start a thread about them, but we've had two lousy crews the last two weeks. So i have a question.... what crews do you all think are decent?

Throwing the flag for 12 men on the field when the Pats have 11 has to be one of the most moronic calls by any ref crew I have ever seen. How can you trust a ref crew that can't count to 11?

Steratore & Vinovich have the best crews, the 2 rookie head refs I've seen this year (are they the only 2?) both look to have decent crews too.

That contact call that Edelman got was borderline as well. But i think there is no doubt the pats got some bad ones. That spot, pushing off on Dennard, Contact on Gronk for his TD, Calling hands to the face on Browner before Ayres Sack.

But that's football. I am neither too high or low about this game

When they can't even count correctly, you have to wonder how competent the crew is.

Here's to hoping this game will ruin Hoculli's grade for getting a chance to work the playoffs...

LaFell gave the Packers' DB a piggy-back and still got no defensive pass interference call. 2 players later: 3 & out. That was our 2nd or 3rd drive I believe.

Also, there was a textbook example of offensive pass interference on Devante Adams for a 3rd down coversion. It was as blatant of a push-off you could ask for and there was still no-call.

The call Edelman got was certainly favorable, but even with that, everything else was handed to GB.

I wouldn't say "that's football" though.

I second Steratore. Even if they make mistakes, I never have the feeling he's doing anything other than giving it his very best effort at fairness for both sides.

Can't stand Hochuli, just an insufferable camera-whore who lost his fastball at the end of the last decade. He and his crew had a lousy game and he will be muttering "12 men on the field" to himself at home this coming Super Sunday (if there is a God, that is). Hopefully he'll be hosting Boger and Triplette as well.

With that said, I'm not a believer in blaming refereeing for a loss. There is just too much going on throughout the field that I can't see, and even the ones I can't stand have a pretty damn good history in my opinion of being in just the right place at the right moment virtually always. So I always figure there were probably plenty of calls that went the Pats way but I didn't notice them, and most of all I really never believe a whole game comes down to even 2 or 3 plays much less 1. If I ever did believe that, then the "Snow Bowl" convinced me otherwise.

I can't imagine Hochuli ever sees a post-season game again. Three picked up flags for officials screw ups in the first half? Embarrassing. I can't recall ever seeing anything as unprofessional as this crew.

Not to mention when Hochuli called a play dead because 'the refs weren't in position'.

"Hey guys... you've got to do it over again...

because we suck."

That happened a few times this weekend around the league. I think it's mostly a side effect of offenses trying to run hurry up.

The Adams push off was as obvious as they come, no call. That is my opinion of the officiating tonight. That said, we had multiple chances to overcome the bias and failed to convert.

We didn't lose because of the refs, but, I'd like to see more consistency with the PI calls. That third down play where Adams pushed off on Dennard should have been a flag, and according to Revis, Nelson pushed off on him for that long TD pass right before the half (although that might be sour grapes)

Just killed the game when Browner was being called for everything, meanwhile GB WR were initiating contact and not getting calls. Either call everything or let the game be played. Its tough enough stopping Rodgers and co but the refs extended some drives from them.

Hochuli is the consummate media whore, who somehow heard about the infatuation about his "arms".. he loves the sound of his voice.

Reminds me of the little girl who is called "princess" and the "prettiest little girl in the world" at 5, and then at 18 she has to be convinced that she is no longer that special child, but she doesn't believe you.

That's sexist :p

Is this better??

Reminds me of the little boy at 5 who is told he is the handsomest and greatest athlete or all time, and at age 18 he need to be convinced that he is not... :p

Nope, maybe that boy wanted to act all his life, or sing? I left you a note in the proper venue :p

If refs are gonna let receivers blantaly push off they need to at least allow defensive backs to get a little physical (cough cough Browner on Nelson that negated Ayers sack cough cough)
