This division is stronger now then what it was a couple of years ago and yout a blind homer if u dont think so. There is so much you can ask from your qb. You think brady has a change to make that comeback in tje superbowl with the current secondary in place? I see a competitive division. I can see either the jest or fish going 8-8 or both.

So tell us exactly how the Patriots are supposed to keep other teams in their division from improving?

Nope if the defense didn't get a couple key stops toward the end, Brady wouldn't have had the opportunity.

And if Brady didn't clean up for the defense gagging against Flacco, you can bet we'd all be lamenting about how the new look defense blew it when it counted.

They are doing what they are suppose to do. Problem here is that everyone thinks our current team will breeze through that division. Those two jests last year where very competitive.

Baltimore has always been a bad matchup for this team. You try playing in the secondary with the amount of time flacco had to throw.

Ah so the secondary was blameless for 31 points tacked up on us?

Feels like the pats havent won a playoff game and are a clueless front office with matt millenesque track record in ages reading some of this :)

Did u see what the offense was doing at the start of that game?

So the offense let them go right down the field on their first 2 drives of the game and their 1st drive of the 2nd half??

Can you say 2011?

The secondary is McCourty, Ryan, Chung, Butler, Arrington, Harmon, Nate Ebner, and Tavon Wilson

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2011/opp.htm (Hint: Patriots rank defesively in passing yards allowed: 31 of 32 teams.)

We're supposed to feel good about that?

Ironic that you picked the season we also played in a superbowl and were an injured offensive player away from likely winning.

No, we shouldn't feel great about our secondary, but your own damnation of the secondary linked to an example where we were a healthy Gronkowski away from hoisting our 4th trophy 3 years sooner than we did.

The offense was pitiful to start that game. Didnt the defense get the big interception to seal the game?

the bills are trying to get percy harvin on a one year deal.
surprised we arent offering the same type of deal.

We could be, I read only a few minutes ago that GB is on him too, likely that more Bills related info will leak right now as he is currently in their facility.

Come on now. Did you forget how awful this secondary has been after 2007?

Remember in 2011 when BB fired, like, the entire secondary at the end of training camp and then replaced them with nobody?

And we played in a superbowl in a season where it was at its absolute worst and could have very well won that superbowl with one of the worst secondaries we ever trotted out onto the field.

What exactly is your point?

It's fantastic having a complementary defense, I'm not arguing that, I wouldn't ever try, but this team goes as Tom Brady goes.

It's also still day 2 of free agency. Because we've done nothing significant in 22 hours and 49 minutes since the gates opened does not mean we will not do anything.

If days go by and Knighton, Wilfork, Sheard, Hardy, Orakpo, Starks, and Fairley are gone and not wearing a Patriots' uniform, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone not willing to scrutinize the team.

There are potential trade options at CB, some slight upgrades as free agents, and several plays who can improve the DL still available, as well as a draft that is said to be one of the better front 4 classes in recent times.

Are you just a f*****g troll?

So your dumb argument is because the offense was bad to start the game the defense gets a pass? Why the hell did the Pats have to come back from 14 twice? Because the defense gave up TDs. Just cuz the offense wasn't great that game why does the defense get a pass?

Ya great job picking off a ball from jump ball joe. Who dropped a dime of a pass to Lafell to score the winning TD?

Also the offense was not pitiful to start the game they scored twice on their first 4 drives.
