I live in Texas and have been following UT and Mack Brown since he coached here. He's a great recruiter and can bring in stud recruits. The problem is that after 3 or 4 years, these players may be a little bigger and faster, but at best, they're marginally better football players. This kid is...
It would be pretty rich if, after the firing and criticisms about BB, the Patriots pick at #3 is the same guy that BB would probably have picked at #3 if he were still in charge.
I would like to see a trade down and a trade up, to get two tackles who can come in and start on day 1. Patch the hole at QB until the OL is fixed. Putting a promising young QB behind the current OL would ruin him. You just can't have a functioning offense with the type of OL the Patriots had...
I think it's back-up-the-truck time in Foxborough. There really aren't that many players on this team for whom the Patriots would get much of anything in return. Probable scenario is that he gets released, or traded for somebody else's mistake.
Edelman almost muffed a punt in the AFC championship game vs. KC. He actually tried to touch it but missed, at least according to the replay officials.
I suggest reading this article: Home Field Advantage and Extra Innings: Some Continuing Research

I agree with many of the previous posts--tackle is the biggest need and Onwenu isn't the solution. He seems like a guy who would like to be paid tackle money to play guard. Trade out of #3, draft 2 tackles with the top 2 picks, sign a couple of free agent tackles, and put a patch over the hole...
It doesn't matter if the players knew the rules or not--seems like the coaches didn't. I don't buy the argument that the third possession is the most important. KC proved that theory wrong.
My analogue is this: if baseball started extra inning games with a coin toss, would any team ever...
I can maybe understand why they can't change the jerseys, but why not change the color of the pants? Are there that many people buying uniform pants from the Pats Pro Shop?
