The average nfl team has about 45 20+ yards past plays this season on about 550 pass attempts.
That is 1 per every 12.2 pass attempts.

When # 10 was the QB, they had 17 in 345 pass attempts, 1 per every 20.3
The worst in the league is Carolina at 1 every 17.8.

Zappe has 14 in 156, one every 11.1. Better than the league average.

So did the receivers get twice as good and better than average compared to NFL worst suddenly, or is it the QB?

And anywhere near average with Zappe at qb is good.



*FYI the patriots are also in the middle of the pack on completion percentage and sacks allowed.
