Anyone else worried about of the JAG factor at the safety position?

In other words, what your saying is BB waived two worthy players and replaced them with JAG's as starters.

I'm worried that there aren't enough threads where we can worry about the safeties.

A little bit. As for Barrett, he was considered one of the top safeties his junior year at ASU. He regressed as a senior. He's big, fast and does have potential. We'll just have to see what happens.

Not as much as I am about having 2 TE on the roster

The uproar from fellow teammates over losing Merriweather is overwhelming

We'll no doubt lose to Miami 31-0.

Perspective is a funny thing. I remember back in the day when we won rings with unheralded JAGS at lots of positions... They all have talent and they can all play at this level or they wouldn't get a sniff. Give me a mentally tough, driven jag who can just follow coaching and do his job anyday.

The perception of talent is seductive, for players and coaches and fans. But perception doesn't usually tip the balance in this game. Teamwork and focus and mental toughness and exceptional coaching play a larger roll across the board.

Seymour was a guy whose panties could get bunched over the perception of talent issue. Something Lawyer drilled into him, screw scheme - players need to get their props and their $$. Yet oddly in an interview awhile back he stated that if he were building a team from scratch he'd target the the kind of hardnosed, roleplaying, effort guys ahead of talent...football players who excel at executing in a well coached scheme.

Re: The Secondary

Idehibo is a easy cut. I mean is easy to cut Idehibo in the middle on the season than Meriweather. Just see the mossgate last season.

If you are not feeling it with one player the better is cut him before the season
