It absolutely matters. Assuming he did destroy the surveillance then his rationale in doing so completely determines whether or not I want him on the team in the future.
If he was knowingly trying to obstruct a murder investigation I don't want anything to do with him.
If he was panicking because the surveillance had footage on it on an unrelated crime or event he wanted to keep private then I will more more interested in the idea of seeing him back on this team after the justice system is through with him.
In short - if he did destroy the surveillance he is either cold-blooded and trying to stop justice from being served in a murder or he's a dumb kid who panicked because something embarrassing or illegal (but far more tolerable than murder) was on those tapes.
That matters to me and it should matter to anyone who was a fan of the kid.
I agree with you 100% but my gut tells me he(or someone else at his instruction) intentionally destroyed that evidence to obstruct a murder investigation and I hope I am wrong. I really do.
Andy, you keep pointing out that he isn't under arrest and I feel the need to remind you...YET AGAIN, that he hasn't been arrested YET....Do you not get that...YET. It is in the works and WILL happen soon!!!!!!
Schefter is just retweeting ABC News. Not an independent confirmation, by any means. His tweet makes the validity of ABC's report no more or less likely.
Schefter is known to be reliable and its not just on ABC news now, in fact, it is on nearly ALL the major networks, and has been independently verified by NBC, WBZ, and ABC so far...
Because neither of us were there that night and have no clue what happened. Why can't you get that through your skull?
I also don't have to physically see it snowing outside to know that it snowed at night when I wake up in the morning.
You and Andy are both trying to debate semantics and are not using common sense.
Actually, people with bad tempers who can't figure out how something works do, routinely, destroy equipment. And yes, even surveillance recording equipment that is "protecting" their own house.
LOL - I am so mad at this video game I am playing, why don't I go seek out my surveillance system computer and destroy all the footage real quick said or thought no one ever...C'mon man, you usually post some spot on stuff, why are you being so blind to all this?
Maybe I'm a ****, but I don't really care what happens to him.
I just want to know if he'll be a patriot moving forward. If not, he's just another loser to me.
What do you guys think the red line is in terms of his continued employment by the team?
I think if anything that is being reported is true, the Pats will cutting him is imminent(ATTENTION ANDY, I DON'T MEAN IN A FEW MINUTES, I MEAN SOON)
LOL. Unintentional comedy at its finest.
apparently my sarcasm wasn't noticed..I am just being a wise guy with some of those comments, I figured people would know that.
This is true.
It's also an unlikely coincidence for all of the following to happen
1. Your friend whom you drove 40 miles dies unbeknownst to you
2. Your surveillance system gets destroyed days/months earlier without being fixed even though you have the money and celebrity status to care about security
3. Your phone breaks days before and you don't get it fixed
4. Police get a search warrant without evidence connecting you
It's far more likely that he is/was obstructing justice (maybe just to protect himself from a nfl drug violation)
+1,000,000 I couldn't have said it better myself. The information being reported(while may be flawed in some aspects) indicate that it is more likely that his actions have obstructed a murder investigation which he may or may not be directly or indirectly involved in, than it is that he is totally innocent of anything.
Doc - you are not a ****. You are a realist. The Thin Red Line is whether or not he purposefully destroyed or attempted to destroy evidence that would be sought in a law enforcement investigation considering the felonious and heinous act and if he participated in the felonious and heinous act.
If he purposefully obstructed justice and is found to be guilty in a court of law, he is gone.
Amen!!!
unlike you, the fact that he is in this situation is sufficient to want him gone
he is an idiot just like ray lewis is an idiot and would be near the last people I would ever want kids idolizing
the end result in pro sports is simply not that important
Amen again! +10
It doesn't matter what his justifications were, if it was to cover up a lesser crime such as dealing drugs in his own house, it is still obstruction of a murder investigation.
However, to charge him with obstructing justice, they must prove he was not acting in a manner that could be construed as unknowingly. If they are moving forward with an arrest warrant for obstruction of justice, they must feel that they have enough evidence to prove that he knowingly obstructed justice.
Ding ding ding, common sense prevailing once again. Good job sir!
the details don't even matter
someone is dead, and AH was involved........to what degree doesn't even matter......being involved at all in something like this is enough for me to never want to see him on the team I root for
I understand there are financial obligations that may or may not have to be deal with.....the pats may have to eat his contract, hopefully there's something in there that will allow them to not suffer any cap hit at all.....that said, I have zero regard for the future of AH himself....he can go straight to hell
AMEN once again, my whole point exactly. Watch out though the blindly loyal Kraft Kool-aid drinking Hernandez lovers will come at you with a million plausible reasons why things happened, they will try to confuse you by claiming ALL MEDIA reports are inaccurate, they will try to persuade you to not form your own opinion based upon what is publicly available. Don't listen, continue your own independent research and form your own independent thoughts because I agree 100% with what you have said here today.QUOTE=IllegalContact;3473257]the details don't even matter
