NFL tracking each player but ball inflation a mystery

The NFL is using sophisticated RFID technology to track the movement of each player on the field. Yet this multi-billion dollar organization doesn't have the technical savvy to realize that balls deflate in cold weather!!!

If they have this why not use it to determine when the ball passes the plane of the goal line.
