He spoke at Klan rallies, because he shared their views on race mixing, he was 100% for segregation, he openly spoke about it many times, saying if a black man slept with a white woman he should be killed, and the same for a black woman who slept with a white man, for being race traitors. As far as I remember he publicly backed a white supremacist in his presidential campaign, can't remember the guys name.
No doubt he lived in a different time and deserves a bit of slack, but his actually held abhorrent views and wasn't shy of sharing them. So for him to be an inspiration to someone while at the same time our new Kicker is being painted as a neo-Nazi is a little rich.
