Kendrick Bourne in 2021 amassed over 800 yards receiving. Was dynamic with Mac, and can line up all over the field.

He is our most dynamic WR.. deceptive speed, great hands, heck of a route runner and is clutch.

Parker gets a contract but KB doesn't.. we all know what happened last season as he was pushed down the depth chart.

My hope is that he is on this roster going forward.. with Hopkins in Tennessee it's time to look towards the guys we currently have on this roster.

Love to hear thoughts on KB. Thanks!

He doesn't have speed deceptive or otherwise but he does have the ability to get open and catch the dang ball. He's the happiest man in the league that Hopkins is a Titan.

I think that was an okay no-sign for us. Bourne, Schuster, Parker, Thornton, [your name here] and two competent tight ends. Sure injuries can screw us but injuries can always screw us. Let's see if Mac becomes pro-bowl Mac again with competent coaching and Imma say slightly less suspect line play. All that talk about Hopkins, the big news woulda been a surprise trade for a fierce and disgruntled LT.

Many in the media wanted him to take touches away from Meyers because of what he did in 2021 being more effective.

The opportunity is there for him to be the main guy.

I liked what KB did when he first joined the team. He showed great leadership in preseason, made a good first impression, and followed it up with a really good first season. Really looked poised to make a second year jump. Then it seems he got caught up in the Disaster of 2022. His leadership role resulted in speaking out about problems in the preseason. Seems that got him on the Special High Intensity Training (S.H.I.T.) list. His role during the season was cut back, to the detriment of the team and the player. I’m really hoping that the new OC comes in with an open mind and no animus towards KB, and uses him effectively. If he does I really think he can make a good case for himself as the #1 WR on the roster. I hope so!

I agree about the no-sign. Especially about the possibility of injuries screwing us. What if we signed DHop and he got hurt? Putting all your eggs in one basket is a flawed strategy.

I don’t want Trent disgruntled, just fierce. If he is I think we already have a better LT than we could find elsewhere. He showed he can play that position at a high level in the past, seems to me it’s more likely he can return to that level than it is to find an outstanding LT on the open market. There is just too much demand for good OTs in general, and left side specialists in particular.

Bourne's a good receiver, he was criminally underused last season. Frankly the team will have no choice but to get him more involved this season and imo that's not a bad thing at all.

KB could also be Boutte, no?

Bourne took that label two years ago.

Boutte could be KB2 or KBjr. Or just Booty, I prefer that one.

Whole thing just seems hazy right now. Loved Bourne that first season and you’d think they’d build off of that the following season. Just gonna have to delete last season as a big fat disaster. Is he even on Bobs radar right now? If they go with two te’s and a power running game, how many receivers do they need and which one’s? At most 4 or 5 with two getting the majority of the reps while others carve out their roles. It’s a lot to look out for in training camp through the preseason.

Agree...the main 4 WR's might be enough if they stay healthy. I also thinks their is a slightly more of a chance Firkser makes the 53 now with his catching ability. He's had 1207 yards in his career.

I hope the whole group of them stay healthy all year. That’s the biggest worry about them. That might be a lot to ask…

KB should be feeling the heat over the next few weeks if Boutte and/or Douglas are the real deal.

They’ll probably carry five. They’ll play three a lot of the time, two outside and one in the slot. So they need at least four active. That will most likely be Parker and Bourne outside and Juju in the slot. Tyquan will be #4, Boutte probably #5 and frequently game day inactive. Might carry four and elevate from PS as needed, but I think they’ll carry five to protect their best talent. A lot depends on how the rookies show in camp.

I don’t see KB as being any more insecure than TT. Or anyone, really. Bourne has proven performance on the field in the NFL. Much more than TT, infinitely more than any rookie no matter how promising in camp.

Fair.

Hopkins would have been a good addition to this team, but since that isn’t going to happen how they use that money can still make an impact for the next couple of years. Good players always become available in late summer, hopefully they use the $$ to bolster the Ozl.

We might end up signing Jerry Jeudy midseason for a 2nd round and 3rd round swap if broncos go nowhere .

Else next year Higgins or Jeudy it is and Bourne will not be resigned unless tyquan tanks .

I have a strong feeling gesicki is gonna surprise a lot this year.
