I really dont get what happened with all the reorganization stuff, and I am watching the Umass vs UNH, and I hear about players from Syracuse, Hoffstra, Northeastern etc....I am not an NCAA watcher so I am clueless as to what happened?

I mean, Syracuse is still in the Big East and just beat WVa?

Can someone clue me in?

Hofstra and Northeastern both dropped their football programs due to monetary reasons. Those players were allowed to transfer and play immediately; more went to UMass than to any other school.

As for Syracuse; go figure. They already have more wins at this point than they have in any year since 2005, and appear to be on their way to their first winning season since 2001. Looks like the change they made at head coach a year ago is paying off.

Thanks. Pretty sad about those schools not even able to field a lesser program for their students and alumni.

But why are there Syracuse toss outs all over the place, playing at UMass and stuff?

And exactly what happened in that reorganization of D1?
