OT: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

No it wasn't. The Colts receivers only ran three routes all night: the hitch, the slant, and the crossing route. I sat here myself (drinking of course) and wondered whenb the Saints' defense was going to figure that out. They finally did and Porter just jumped the route. That was a perfect jump.

Considering we have been hammered into our brains that Manning basically calls his own plays and Tom Moore only sends in "concepts", wouldn't you make the argument even stronger that this loss was on Manning?

BTW, that is the Colts' offense. Their offense is pretty basic. The Colts beat teams on offense because of Manning's talent, not by elaborate offenses and scheming.

Brady also put only 17 points against the giants. The colts running game didn't do anything to help manning.

Colts fan on a Patriots message board after his QB chokes the game.

Classic. :D

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

The Manning face made its Super Bowl debut. EPIC FAIL.

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

They had 99 yards on 19 carries.

PS This is my 3000th post. Yay! :D

Your 3000th post, and Manning Face. This video seems appropriate. :D

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

Yeah, he only put up 17 points against the 26th ranked pass defense.

Not his fault.

And threw a pick 6 during the biggest drive of the game.

But hey, not his fault.
Correction biggest drive OF HIS LIFE

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

As I predicted, Manning choked once again in the playoffs. :D I hate to say I told you so but... :D

Now we can officially end the Brady vs Manning debate. Brady is better, the end.

Manning is not in the same breath as Montana , Bradshaw , Starr, or Brady...

Fyi, i'm a pats fan. But I can appreciate greatness when I see it. Manning (Peyton, not Eli) is a good QB whether you like him or not. I'm as happy as the rest of you that he didn't win this one. But some of the banter here is just childish sometimes.

Man, that was great. GFY, Peyton!

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

Exactly! Glad someone watched the same game I did.

No, I'm saying that was Manning's fault (though one can assign fault to the playcaller on that play, which was either Manning or Moore). Porter was RIGHT on top of that route. Manning should have never thrown that ball.

So, in the pair's last two Super Bowls, Brady responded to going down late in the 4th by driving his team for what would have been a game-winning TD. Manning responded by throwing a pick six. Maybe it's time to shelf all of the "GOAT" talk until the two actually retire.

On top of this, did Manning actually go out and shake any hands afterward? Looked to me as if he was walking toward the locker room with his head down and I never saw him on camera again.

soooo sweet. i say jim calldwell is the biggest ***** coach in the nfl.

Hehehe. See my last post, Rob-o. :D

Does it get any better than a vintage Manning choke job? I wonder where all those classy Colts trolls are right now

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

At least they have a perfect regular season....oh yeah they don't. :amusic:

Just stop.

Peyton Manning choked away this game.

You can live in la-la land telling yourself otherwise and maybe a few Colts trolls will agree with you, go for it.

I thought the COlts would lose when I saw the Peyton pout after the missed fg and especially after the reversal on the 2pt conversion.

Wish I could've seen naPolian after the conversion was reversed, maybe there will be a rule saying the play doesn't end until the Colt db has an opportunity to kick the ball ot of the receivers hands?

What a great way to end the season.

When you wimp out like the Colts did at the end of the year, you should lose the final games.

Wow,,,,,, the great invinceablle Peyton Manning throws a pick 6 in the last 6 mins of a SB game??????? How un Canton-Like.....
