So Glad Ryan won the MVP

Since everyone but Patriots fans hate the Patriots, Goodell won't give a dam_ if the game is called one sided. Patriots will have to play perfect ball to beat the birds and the NFL.
Ryan will have more pressure now to prove he is better than Brady according to the NFL anyway. And Brady might have a little more motivation to show everyone that Ryan isn't the best player in the NFL. Not that he needs anymore motivation.

A lot of people talk about the suspension as the reason why Brady didn't win it.

I really think it was the 3-1 record without him that killed his chances. If the Pats start 0-4 without Brady and Tom takes them to the division title- something that has never been done in NFL history- it would be awfully tough for MVP voters to ignore.

But regardless... good for Matty. I like that it was a merit choice and not a popularity choice *coughpeytoncough*

"Meh" is so overused on this board

Not surprised at the awards. Goodall wasn't going to let the Pats win anything, let alone let Brady win MVP. Thats fine, Ryan can enjoy his MVP while we enjoy our rings. I'm nervous for this game but also confident. We are well prepared and well coached and I feel that it is more so than the Falcons team.
Goodell has no control over who wins awards or NFL games.

Freeman: "we can do whatever we want on offense"

Matt Ryan: "we'll have an answer for everything they do"

Ryan wins OPOY and MVP.

Your move NE D.

NFL football is not rigged. EVERY fan base makes the same claim for their team. It is old and stupid to complain that your conspiracy theory is true.

MVP goes to QB with the best stats. Ryan had a great statistical year. He wins MVP. It's not complicated.

is the 10 to 1 fan support a real thing you think?

Im just basing that off the tweets coming out of Houston from our media guys. Zo said at "least" 10-1. Should feel like a home game.

Honestly I'm surprised Brady was 2nd in this vote.

The Pats were 3-1 without Brady. The Raiders lost Carr and their season went down the drain. If that's not "most valuable" I don't know what is.

THIS may be " easier" than others if we get a lead. GB would've been easier because they were injured left & right.

We would have DESTROYED the Cowboys too.

Atlanta and Seattle were the worst two match-ups for us going into the play-offs I thought.

Well the Patriots have the best coaching staff in the game. That was more a credit to them being prepared than it is a negative on Brady.

It scares me that the Falcons will have an answer for BB. What's BB going to do if Atlanta adjusts to his game plan on D?

You picking Atlanta or Patriots? I got Atlanta 40-37 unfortunately

Maybe make an adjustment

that actually could be huge, they played two games in the dome, some adversity could sink them.

Why are you assuming they will? I think that's just an example of overconfidence from that team.

Yea, if we can get up on them early and get the crowd going, they can absolutely start to puke on themselves.

As a fan, I never would bet against the Patriots. No way I want to be routing for the other team.

Not "Rooting" for Atlanta. I've watched tape, compared players etc.

If I was putting money on the game it would be tough to pick a winner. But, I don't see 77 points being scored in this game. Neither of these teams turns the ball over much and I think you would need a couple to get to that point total.
