Robyn Glaser is now EVP of Football Business & Senior Advisor to the Head Coach.

Isn't there just a small chance that Robyn has been appointed because she is the best person for the job? Must it really be "because she's a woman". Are you really going there?
Definitely a small chance. About the same odds of me hooking up with Taylor Swift.

He couldn't play anymore according to the former GM/HC.. he was so bad he won a 7th ring.
Did he say that? No. It's such a spoiled fanbase that thinks the winning would never stop.

But given the history and success of Brady w/ the franchise, even if true, we should've never have let him walk. Instead Bill treated him like just another asset. Undoubtedly, Kraft regrets that decision.
I think Bill does as well. He keeps Brady hes a lot closer to Shula no question.
So the story is partially true, just w/o the context. I would say it's more lazy than complete ********.
Letting Brady walk is a different topic.

Correct, so his "better a year too early than too late" philosophy was based on Brady having peaked and the eventual downfall was close.

It's semantics. Bill obviously believed Brady was in his waning years and no longer an mvp/elite caliber QB. Not completely unreasonable given his age. He was wrong though.
If Bill wanted to move on from Brady he would have had a plan in place or a decent backup QB. He had neither, which tells me that Bill believed that Brady wasn't leaving and would continue to take less to stay here. That's where I think Bill went wrong.

Ok.. again not to go down this road but.. Krafty said to SAS at ESPN, called him while on air actually.. said Bill told him TB12 couldn't play anymore and that is why he couldn't give him the drew Brees contract, if Bill wanted him, he would have stayed point blank. He didn't want Brady why would he when he had stidham!!!!!!

I wish you wrote this more clearly so that I could respond. I can only speculate on what some of this means. First, I'm floored that Kraft called Steven A. and said that. The man is petty beyond belief. What exactly did he say? Did he give Kraft a study showing that older QBs fall off the cliff? Wouldn't you WANT your GM doing this kind of work? Every other team with an older QB was making the same assessment. They were making plans for succession. The Packers did it 2x. As for Brees, and for the record, his career finished when he was 4 years younger than when Brady's career finished. And this might seem crazy to you, but Brees's contract was the SAME as Brady's contract signed in 2018. 2 years, but only 1 year guaranteed. $25m per. Same contract. Brees could be cut with no repercussions before the 2nd year. That's Brady's contract.

My friend wickersham reported it In his book. Unless you think it's ******** as it's what he said check it out.
People are stretching what was said into absolute lies. If I show you a study (and that study was done when Brady was 37, by the way) that said older QBs fall off the cliff, I'm doing that to prepare you for the inevitability that we need to move on from Brady. I'm doing it so that you can understand why we need to draft his successor Jimmy Garoppolo in 2014. It's a plan.

If Kraft is now interpreting that as, Belichick wanted to move on from Brady, that's disingenuous. No, it's worse than that. It's a lie.

I totally understand where you're coming from. However the NFL is a production based business. In the GOATs last season he was 12-4 and 24-8.. witnessing the most complete butchering at the most important position in football last 2 seasons I'd be on cloud 9 to have a QB putting up 24-8.. right now!

I'm not defending Bill. He's not the coach here.

I know.. just having a little fun. I always normally agree with your post. I realize that everything in life has and expiration date. Like Tom wore tired, Bill and the organization likely felt the same. Change is good in life sometimes.

Always normally? That's like 50% of the time it works 100%.

She's been there for 17 years. A loyal and proven woman with an MBA, JD.

Not sure where this Easterby comp is coming from. Easterby had a degree from Liberty U (lol) as a cleric, and was a power hungry, back-stabbing, double xing whack job.

They were both hand picked by the owner because they are loyal with a different perspective. They both are go-betweens with no football training or experience. Very different people like you note, but the role is the same, or very nearly the same. The comparison is apt and interesting to discuss, even if they have different educations. If you believe the role can be defined as a "loyal snitch", it does not matter how educated the snitch is. Got it?
