DRAFT 2024 2nd Round Pick - WR Ja'Lynn Polk

Stop comparing everyone to Harry. **** is so lazy & predictable. Harry didn’t have the mentality to play in the NFL. That’s it..Polk ain’t Harry & Harry ain’t Polk…

4.52 .... 40 time naysayers ...
last year time to pass was one of the nfl worst. 2.2 seconds ...
Polk is a good fit for the team.

I was also reading about how AD takes plays off and doesn't show interest in blocking.
I've heard that too but it might be related to his medical issues. IE he can't go full throttle every play because of his diabetes. It's really hard to separate those two issues.

I found out recently that Adonai Mitchell has a diabetes issue that affects his personality. Like he is really hard to handle when his blood sugar is low. I believe this is why he is falling in the draft. Otherwise he probably would have been taken in the 1st.

I don't know a lot about Polk. But I see why the Patriots might have decided to go with a 'safer' pick at 37.
I too heard about the diabetes issue. And, Polk ran a faster 40 than Tee Higgins (4.59) and the same 40 time as Pittman Jr. (4.52) I wouldn't mind coming away with Devontez Walker in the 4th Round (Maye's Teammate at NC).

I know nothing about the guy, but based on everything I have read on his board that he was either a first round talent or so bad that it wouldn’t be surprising if he was cut in the preseason. So now I got a good handle of what we got here.

Had 5 catches for 122 yards and a td catch vs Texas. Just saying.
But one catch was for 77 yards, and though he made a great adjustment, watch it again. He broke open free and a guy fully 5-10 yards behind him tracked him down and tackled him at the 2.

Lazar not impressed, says he went too early.
I agree, he went earlier than expected, and there other receivers I would’ve taken before him, but oddly enough, they haven’t been selected yet. Also, I would’ve stayed at 34 and taken McConkey.

These are the guys I would’ve taken instead
Roman Wilson
Troy Franklin (similar to Tyquan though)

Two interesting facts about the Polk pick though, only had 8 career drops in his entire career, has great hands. And I believe our receiver’s coach was Washington Husky’s quality control coach (offense) last year (Polk’s coach).

Polk is a good receiver. Next year we'll compliment him with a true number one and it's wheels up.

Board falling quite nicely here - Suamataia, Paul, Rosengarten and other OTs still there. Could even double dip at receiver with someone like Troy Franklin or Roman Wilson. Rakestraw, Tampa and Philips there at CB too.

Maybe he did got too early in peoples thoughts atm but you have to consider the possibility that we knew team x was going to take him a few picks later.
