With 4 games to go, I'm going on record saying that 10-6 will be a remarkable season for the Patriots. 11-5 will be amazing.
I can't think of another team in the NFL who could take the injury hits that the Patriots have on both sides of the ball, to key players, and finish above .500. This is not excuse making, it's just stating the facts.
Sure the front office could have done a better job in replacing the CB's that we lost. But even if they had, I don't think we would finish any better record wise.
QB is the most important position on the team and although Cassel has done better that most of us could have hoped for, he's still no Tom Brady. The loss of Rodney really hurt. AD does way more than most fans realize and I think he would have been the difference in the Jets OT loss.
So yes, I get angry and sad over some of these losses. But if this team finishes 10-6 or better, they will have achieved a remarkable season. Just one Homers view.
