So what? I am real. The question is not whether it made playoffs or not made playoffs or etc.

The question is do we have a better team with Brady and without McCourty, if we could only afford one of them. In my mind the answer is ABSOLUTELY yes. Maybe you disagree. And I think the front office made a horrible mistake retaining McCourty and letting Brady go.
Luckily they didn't let Jackie's kid go. He gives great speeches.

lol for two years prior to Tom’s arrival in Tampa the Buc’s ranked #1 in the entire NFL in passing yards and were #3 in passing TD’s. They had Fitzpatrick and Jameis at QB.

They had the greatest collection of weapons in the NFL, one of the best lines, one of the best defenses. Good grief…

The 2020 Patriots were devoid of talent, they had the third most dead cap entering that season, they had a few players at the top with bloated cap hits because they used those contracts in prior years to sign players at the trade deadline and they had roughly 11-12 starters or major contributors to re-sign or replace… including the QB position, the most expensive position in football.

You suggesting the 2020 Buc’s roster is in anyway similar to the Patriots roster or that Tom’s QB magic could have elevated one of the worst rosters in the NFL to a playoff contender is a serious QB fanboy *.
TB's "greatest collection of weapons in the NFL" had a 12-20 record the two years proceeding Brady. Then Brady came along and they won a SB and might have had another if not for a coaching blunder at the end of the Rams game.

Just like Brady's time here, the team sucked immediately before he arrived and right after he left. At some point you're going to have to recognize his greatness and stop trying to belittle his contributions.

2019 roster was awful, just awful and Brady got them to 12 wins.
The worst part of that was they were robbed of a TD that could have given the Pats a win and the top seed and the ref who missed the obvious TD was rumored to be an avid Ratbird fan.

The 2019 defense was probably the best of BB’s career, the offensive line got healthy around midseason… but by that point Brady was hurt.

Calling the team “awful” is a bad take, it was the last gasp of a team spending every resource to win rings short of trading away all their draft picks.

Jameis Winston’s 2019 season is historic in the amount of turnovers committed. He and Fitzpatrick weren’t much better in tandem the year prior, plus the defense was still being built by Arians who just arrived. Nobody can win with bad QB play.

They weren't awful but the offense was very mediocre and there were games against mid level teams that became a slog because we couldn't score.

We also played a pretty **** schedule. The Bills (10-6) and Eagles (9-7) were the only teams with winning records that we beat. The 4 other playoff teams beat us. You could kinda tell they were a team that was itching for a loss come playoff time. They also went .500 on the second half of the season.
