Trust me, Brady doesn't care about this record. But it's more than ok for fans to talk about it. It would add to his overall legend that is ever growing. Brady could care less about personal records, he wants Lombardis the most. This type of accomplishment would be icing on the cake.
One point to differ though, the dump off pass to the RB. Isn't the old era about short passes rather than long vertical passes for TDs? The length of the pass has no relevancy on whether it is a 'legitimae' TD pass. It's all about whether the ball passes the goal line.
And if you watched Vereen's TD catch, that was an electric and dynamic play. He simply beat all the defenders with his speed. The fact that Brady hit him in perfect stride allowed him to go off with the ball in space. I don't see any problem with crediting both men for making a tremendous play.

Sorry, I don't really see how impressive this record is in a league that is pass oriented. Why should I be awe-struck at Brees's record when I saw him throw a TD pass with 10 seconds left on the clock in a game they had no chance of winning, just to keep the streak going?
Moreover, I am thoroughly unimpressed with 1-2 yard dump offs to running backs that end up being 30+ yard touchdowns - Qb's should not be credited with a TD in those situations. I am far too young to have watched Unitas, but I have watched enough of the Saints the past few years, and specifically Drew Brees to see how much individual stats mean to the dude. I really don't think his streak was all that brilliant.
I personally don't know Brady, but for a guy that his arguably the greatest to ever play the game; multiple SB rings, MVP’s, and countless records - I find it hard to believe that he would be passionate about getting this one, or that he would even be aiming for it.
