At this point I am sadly assuming it's a "yes".
I hope there will be a chance for the fans to honor him at Gillette this year. To totally butcher an old quote, rarely before has someone done so much with so little for so many.
Retire in camp, honored at the 1st game, immediately made a coach, or basically any job he wants.
They cannot not take care of Troy, he is the heart and soul, even more than Bruschi.
just don't assume he will be a coach. Too little money for too many hours.
hope they don't have to cut him
Nice post.
I agree. In many ways, coaching (low on the totem pole) is taking a step back from playing (at a high level), and unless someone aspires to be a HC, I can't imagine why a well-off player would want that grind.

Passion. I mean I could see a guy like Bruschi doing it because he has such a passion for the game. Vrable has already said he wants to coach when he is done although I think he wants to do it at the college level.

It would take alot to get to that. As he isn't on the roster and I doubt they bring him in without him being a near lock for the roster. But anything is possible. If one of the WR went down they may look to him but than he could feasably be beat out by someone like an aiken or something but that Scenario is unlikely. I would imagine the only way he is back with us is if we have a string of season ending injuries during the season and he didn't find another home.
