Just finished this one at DraftBuzz...Maye went #1 to Chicago, so I did a couple of small trade-downs and was still able to beat Minnesota to McCarthy at #8... Ran out of decent prospects during the 7th round unfortunately:

That mock is funky. It has Joe Alt going much later than he should, #19 to the Ravens.

Maye gone at 3, no decent trades, so I go with my highest rated LT. Bunch of trade downs.

3. Olu Fashanu, LT, Penn State
66. Xavier Legette, X WR, South Carolina
68. Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina
134. Luke McCaffrey, WR, Rice
137. Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville
181. Justin Eboigbe, DE, Alabama
185. Joe Milton, QB, Tennesse
193. Brennan Jackson, Edge, Wash State
225. Trey Taylor, S, Air Force Academy
231. Bub Means, WR, Pittsburgh
241. Frank Gore Jr., RB, Southern Mississippi
257. Trevor Keegan, IOL, Michigan

I wait late for QBs. Eliot would need to wear diapers to make this work. Late picks with Rattler and The Joe.

No way I’m going for Small Hands JJ or Brittle Jaden at 3.

I should have done safety earlier and looked at linebacker more.

I like the triple-dip at WR, plus the double-dip at QB.

Guerendo at RB and Trey Taylor at FS are both definite plusses.
My only quibble would be no tight ends, but it all depends on who was available/gone at what point late.

2025 MIN 6th

That's Seventeen picks this year; and a total of SIXTEEN picks already for next year!

I wanted to contribute at least one here. My strategy was (obviously) to move up for either Thomas or one of the top 3 LT prospects, knowing it would cost #34, #68, and 2025 #2, leaving me with little ammo to move up from #103. From there my priority was developable talent at OT, TE, CB, and RB.

Amegadjie, Johnson, and Guerendo are binkies for me and so that’s who I went with though none were topping the board at those slots. The nice thing is that there were plenty of prospects I would have been happy with in each position; Brendon Rice and McCaffery for example in the 4th round.

I’m hoping the Pats add a veteran OT (say Humphries or Peart) and FS, and extend Barmore and Stevenson ASAP after next Saturday. 2024 will need to be a bridge year so I hate having to trade out of that draft but someone like Thomas is worth the sacrifice considering the 5th year option benefit.

Williams and Daniels went #1 & #2, I didn’t get as many offers as I hoped for, the best was from the Giants basically #6 and #47 for #3 but I was not comfortable losing Maye and sweating out 3 picks hoping for JJ. Sure enough, Minnesota traded up to #5 to take JJ. I’m OK with Penix or Nix but not at #6, I’d rather take Odunze or Alt there or better yet do the @captain stone and trade down again hoping for say Fautanu or Fashanu plus Thomas or Mitchell (Adonai) or one of the better DBs (e.g., DeJean or Arnold).

I tried NFLMockDraftDatabase and made out like a bandit. Methinks the trade algorithm is a bit too generous.

Traded down and still landed Jayden Daniels at #5 after Caleb Williams, and Drake Maye went 1 & 2.

Traded back into the first round and landed Fashanu at #19 to secure our left tackle of the future.

Traded down in round 2 and still landed WR Adonai Mitchell at #38.

Traded down to #63 and got playmaking TE Ja'Tavion Sanders in the late 2nd round.

Finally wrapped up the draft with another tackle prospect Kiran Amegadjie at #96, speedster WR Devontez Walker at #106, ballhawk S Kamren Kichens at 114, and explosive RB Marshawn Lloyd at #128.

Here were my top 13 picks.

The good thing about that site is that they seem to have a larger player selection. The negative thing is the logic needs work. :p I find these mocks fascinating and the different approaches everyone takes. I've discovered I hate trading up lol (because I've no idea if the picks are worth it for "my guy." Mostly having more darts to throw mitigates the chances of drafting a dud.) Edit to add: These sims are really addicting. It's fun playing around with different strategies and see all the wildly divergent outcomes.

Last one before the draft. General strategy: Does the selection help our shiny new 1.03 QB? To that end, an offensive player of equal value gets selected over a defensive player.

State of the offensive roster:
LT. The team is in dire straights at LT. Current starting LT played RT for PIT but was benched half way through the season.
IOL: Starters are ok. Backups V.Lowe (G/T), A.Mari are terrible. J.Andrews was overdrafted and history tells us what to expect.
WR: The WR group ranks near the bottom of the league. Slow, poor agility, unable to gain separation. Needs a drastic overhaul.
TE: AVP's offense needs TEs, especially inline players who can block.
RB: One player under contract next year, but easier to replace.
DEF. CB2, FS, DT, EDGE. See above. Offense take priority,

03. WAS takes Maye. (I've landed on JJ over Daniels even though the Pats probably will take JD if Maye is gone.)
34: Guyton, Kingsley gone. We get a trade offer. 100 to drop two spots. Sold.
36: Choice between Franklin and Legette. Both fast, but go with the bigger guy despite being older.
68: Most of the time by this pick the remaining top WRs are gone. Have a choice between Pearsall, Tez Walker and McMillan. I go with the higher rated player. (Could go LT here but there are 3 or 4 tackles with similar grades still available. Also could wait and take Baker or Rice later, but from the tape I've seen Pearsall looks like a good guy to have with a rookie QB. Could also trade up to grab e.g. Polk (X receiver.)
100: Lots of defensive talent available. I take a trade instead.
103: Need a LT.
121. TEs should be available at our next picks. Now we have room for defense with some decent DTs available. Let's go with the risk reward guy.
136 and 137. TEs and RBs dominate the board. Choice between Theo and Wiley. Super tempted to take both. However CB Jones is too good to pass up.
180. Get another TE with high upside.
193. Waited too long to take a decent backup guard. Not a whole lot of talent to choose from. Pats have shown interest in Wallace. Wouldn't mind pushing this pick to another selection next year but no offers.
231. Add a FS. (Some H/W/S WRs available but can probably land them as UDFAs.)

Very well thought out, Blackluck. Caedan Wallace is a natural RT. I’m eager to move Onwenu back inside where he excels.

If Maye is gone by 3, trading back to 6 with the Giants seems like the right course of action.

Joe Schoen has that deer in the headlights look.
