Are "experts" really pounding the table insisting Hurts is a Top 5 MVP candidate so far this season?

Well, yes, though I don't think there's a whole lot of table pounding after three games. Who else is there? Tua, obviously. But after that, yes, Hurts is in the next tier with Mahomes, Allen, etc. Purdy's a new name in the mix.

It's still early enough in the season that we really don't know how it's all going to shake out yet.
 
Yes, this is also needed.
The 3rd and 15? or 17? play against the Jets was really a great sign of what this offense can do. The line held up and Mac hung in there as a big D lineman was baring down on him. Parker made a nice catch on the sideline. If the line can get it together, BoB can start calling more of those.

I watched this one last night, JT was practically over-the-moon about Mac this week. Was a good watch. I don't think we credited Mac enough for some of these throws with a wet ball. 2 out of 3 games this year so far have been in the rain.
Yep, and JT has hardly been a big fan of Mac's. He faint-praised his play at Alabama.
