This is not the official day 2 thread. Just talking about the prospects that are left.

My personal top 10 guys left (not counting OL or RB now)

Maurice Hurst (DT)
Harold Landry (EDGE)
Josh Jackson (CB)
Isaiah Oliver (CB)
Mike Gesiski (TE)
Dallas Goedaert (TE)

-gap-

Mark Andrews (TE)
Justin Reid (S)
Ronnie Harrison (S)
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (EDGE)

Who do you personally hope they pick? What do they target? LB seems a little thin right now but is the only need spot they have that lacks options going into day 2.

I really want Landry. Losing Long and Ninkovich was tough, along with injuries. But I won't be disappointed if we got a CB.

Haven't heard his name but Burks from missouri

I like Landry for the Edge but feel BB might trade down, then hope for the best LB/DE available, preferably one with good speed.

Justin Reid
Lorenzo Carter
Josh Sweat
Harold Landry (injury issues?)
Rasheem Green
Josh Jackson
Isaiah Oliver
Carlton Davis
Ronnie Harrison
Maurice Hurst
Harrison Phillips
Sam Hubbard
Duke Dawson

Plenty of defensive talent still available.

Excellent list. Additionally, I wouldn't mind Malik Jefferson somewhere on day 2.

Get some defensive players. Any LBs that can play in space and cover. This team needs one of those type of LBs. Wish they traded up for Edmunds.

BB the Economist let $20 mill / year walk......Solder and Lewis....and replaced them with younger versions controlled for 5 years costing a combined $4 mill / year.
Now if he can bargain hunt the next Butler. As it stands, BB swapped out Butler's new $12 mill / year cap hit with McCourty's short term $3 mil cap.

I think DE is less of a need than most others seem to, with Wise being a year on, Rivers back from injury, Clayborn, Flowers, Lee, and Keointa Davis, I think we have decent depth. Although it could always do with strengthening.

But for me, LB has to be priority. We have no depth there, and Hightower and Van Noy are injury prone. I'm convinced we would've taken Evans if Tennessee hadn't snatched him. So I'd be plenty happy to see us reach for Warner, Jewell, Jefferson or Leonard. I'd also be very happy if we landed Ronnie Harrison or Justin Reid, so we'd never have to see Jordan Richards again. And there's a number of really good corners still available.

I dropped this in the Michel thread, but here are some defensive names I would keep an eye on:

DE:
Green
Hand
Hubbard (has Patriot written all over him)
Ejiofor

EDGE:
Carter
Landry
Sweat
Nwosu
Key

LB:
Leonard
Baker
Jefferson
Griffin

CB:
Josh Jackson
Dawson
Davis
Donte Jackson

Someone is gonna get a steal in round 2, with Christian Kirk.

Completely agree! Same goes with Landry, Reid...

I was just about to list and realised there is a scary amount of depth this year..

If Hubbard is there at 43 I hope they take him. If not I think with the talent over the next 40 picks being so flat we are going to see a trade down to pick up an additional third rounder. With those 4 picks I would like DE, ILB and then two of three CB, TE, QB.

Landry, Ojiofor, Oliver, Lauletta, Jewell, Goedert.

Thoughts on Rudolph?

Or Rudolph if we think he can be the guy

If they're going to go QB, I'd hope for Rudolph as well. Lauletta has a lot of desirable traits, but his arm is a huge question mark.
