Hm, well, I guess I'll let the tattoo drop.
Where did the 'Get Paid' story come from?
A reporter (I can't rember who) saw the tattoo an either misread it or forgot the wording. Misquotes are common in the media. "Play it again Sam" was never uttered in Casablanca for example. Or Sally Fields never said "You like me, you really like me" when she accepted her Academy Award (she really said "I can't deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!"). I will chock it it up to that.
well..... the colts care.......for about 5 guys
IIRC it was Jackie MacMullen. She lso did an interview with Asante talking about money, then published it many months later when the money talk had different meanings without saying it was an old interview.A reporter (I can't rember who) saw the tattoo an either misread it or forgot the wording.
It doesn't matter to me. They're commodities and as long as we get value for the commodities it's all good. Letting valuable commodities leave for nothing, that we can't do.
i heard that Adam Vinitieri felt the same way after the pats didn't want to sign him. Richard Seymour probably feels this way as well.
I think the pats ownership and management have gotten too arrogant for their own good. They think, "The reason you were succesful was because it was our team and our system. Don't go around thinking you had anything to do with it." This might be the reason belichick refuses to upgrade at the coordinator position - to show everyone it's him and not charlie weis or romeo. The team concept that the pats used to preach is long gone.
on another note, kraft has to open up his wallet. don't give me this nonsense about the salary cap - every team finds ways to get around it.
