Re: Here's all WE NEED to know about the Tebow signing...

This is the worst day in the history of the franchise

Its never a bad day when you sign a great competitor .

Totally unecessary move. Hope he doesnt survive past training camp.

actively rooting against him, hhhmmm..hard to understand the hate the kid generates.

Everyone should watch ESPN first take tomorrow, just tomorrow. Cos Skip Bayless is gonna cum all over Stephen A Smith. On 2nd thought, don't watch that.

You sir, are an Ass for putting that image in my head....

Not sure I want to go to sleep tonight for fears of what my nightmares could be.....

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in his full year with DEN his completion % was 46.5%. Lowest in the league by almost 5 points. He was NOT a good QB by any measure. His team was a success in spite of his performance not because of it.

You didn't burst my bubble, at all. The last time I checked on football in my world, wins and losses mattered a lot more than completion percentage.

Perhaps it's different in your world.

My first thought is it will be fun to see him and Hernandez lined up in the backfield together or motioning in and out forcing defenses to account for all of the possibilities. The team maybe lacking in "proven" WR's, but they are loaded everywhere else on offense and Tebow gives them a versatile chess piece.

I've watched Tebow since he was in High School playing for Nease. The problem with this line of thinking is that you're asking Tebow to do something he's never done before at the hardest level to do it at possible. It's possible that he can be successful, yes. But he has zero experience.

Re: Here's all WE NEED to know about the Tebow signing...

Its never a bad day when you sign a great competitor , he is a Patriots player now, leave the hateraide at home

He's the worst football player I've ever had the displeasure of watching

Rapsheet: Patriots to sign Tim Tebow

He beat the Steelers in the playoffs.

You've got nothing. Your baseless hostility is a waste of your energies.

Why you bother with this is beyond my understanding. Mark Sanchez has more playoff wins than Tim Tebow. Perhaps the Patriots should target Sanchez given their apparent interest in below average positional players.

So we should sign Donald Trump? I like the kid and I like the idea of using him in certain packages, but I hope this does not mean that the coaching staff will be wasting time trying to turn him into a conventional QB.

See, this is the sort of really silly post that I knew would be coming. I just expected it to be from others. From you

th

What's silly are those raking him over the coals for his faith and belief system. It's not silly to call him what he is. I have every reason to want to believe in the kid. I've watched him longer than anybody here, and I would wager damn good money on that. He's not an NFL caliber quarterback nor does he have any experience catching passes. Combine that with the media frenzy over this, no matter how little they may actually get from anyone on the team, and I don't see why he was worth a roster spot.

EDIT: I should say that I have more reason than anybody outside of maybe triplecHamp and GatorMike to want to believe in the kid.

He's a cancer, a waste of a roster spot, will bring a media circus and is a pointless cap hit.

LOL "he is a cancer" wow.....:p unbelievable the hate this kid generates .

Just got in from work to read the news.

*****. The. Bed.

Hopefully the circus doesn't last long.

Did you watch any of his games at Denver? He seemed to me to do pretty well.

It all depends upon how Coach plans on using him. It might very well be that Tebow comes in and plays some Tight End and/or Fullback. Bellichick loves football players before skill players. If he thinks there's value to the signing, as it seems like he must, then I'm more than willing to sit back and see what's going on.

I think Brady has a say in competing "with Tebow in regards to his FIERY COMPETITIVENESS"

Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. Let's get him in Canton.

His team did well in spite of what a joke he is.

I did, here's how those games went:

Tebow did nothing but hold the team back for 58 minutes
Denver Defense bails him out
Matt Prater has some kind of freaky robot leg

Yawn......
you can't possibly think that his performance contributed to their wins could you? If so, then why didn't the JETS make the playoffs last year? Based on your concept of wins matter you should agree that he stunk it up pretty bad last year. But I'm guessing you're just trolling looking to argue with someone.

I guess you weren't a pats fan in 90, 91, or 92....

Well said - If he can beat out Danny Aiken and be the teams' long snapper and an H-Back then I am for this. The Pats know how to mute the media that will be flying into Logan tonight to cover this. I could care less about his faith because it is irrelevant between the sidelines. He is not a NFL quarterback as evidenced by the fact that he could not become a starting quarterback on a very poor New York Jets team last year.

And finally - Deus is once again trying to claim attention to what will be the most discussed talking point on this board over the next six hours. I could care less what his opinion is because it is wrong. The Broncos won 10 games in spite of him.

Its started already...

It knocked all the crap about the phone tapping off the top of Drudge.

sigh....
