What is BB’s Mindset on this Season?

Says he is not interested in coaching at the NFL level but I hope he changes his mind. Would be fun to watch no matter what team.
If you asked me years ago I probably wouldn't have said this, but that would be a breath of fresh air.

Whatever. I am still looking forward to tomorrow's game. It's my favorite football team to root for. My guess is that they will get better and i will be believing that until someone tells me they have no more games to play this year. It is just the way I am wired.
Only if Mac is benched and the Thornton, Douglas, Reagor, Boutte show out.

The idea that a fan should support their team but never criticize them is comical. Whenever I hear it I think of the hundreds of 3 year old Barney followers who zombied their way into an auditorium years ago. But instead of chanting Barney it would be Billy... Billy... Billy.
Who said anything about criticizing? That poster said he cancelled his NFL subscription, can’t and won’t watch games and has given up on the patriots.
Perhaps pay attention to what you are responding to so you don’t look like a dope.

All Pats fans (with the exception of the tankheads) are going to be pulling for them to win.

I want winning not gimmicks and funny press conferences.

There are no doubt, many people on this board who would rather they lose so they can complain and say they were right, than that they win. Most of the same ones who acted like they were better than the fans of others teams because the one they tagged themselves to was better.

Maybe. That is one possible way, but I don't have a crystal ball and I will watch every game to see how it goes. It is more fun not knowing if/how it will get better.

At this stage, Bill needs to just keep the games more competitive.

My thoughts are if you have abandoned the team you should abandon patsFANS.com
I’m 52. I’m still and always will be a Patriots fan. I‘be been a fan through the dark days in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Being a fan doesn’t mean you need to subject yourself to misery and not demand things change. Again, it’s not about the losing, it’s about how they are losing and the regression.

I amazes me that people consistently pretend they are inside belichicks head, and know his thoughts and motivations.
Everything, every single thing, I have heard about belichick (legitimately) tells me that all he is thinking about right now is the next game. He lives in the situation, and the situation is there is a game Sunday.
There are no indications of being motivated by pride.
There is no indication he thinks anyone is dumb.
I am sure he isn’t calculating how many wins keep his job, I am sure he and kraft understand each other, are communicating constantly and not plotting against each other.

What truly amazes me is how some people are so insecure in life that they take their vicarious interest, look at the man who engineered the greatest level of success in the history of the sport, bragged about in insufferably, no doubt, and then as soon as the results slide, they not only turn on him, feel the need to publicly attack him, but actually go out of their way to try to ascribe traits to him that they find negative, without any real proof, to trash him further so they can feel better.

This fans base, and I mean the fan base on this board, because there is no way it’s indicative of the teams overall fan base, would be one hell of a psychological study.
Lol you didn't say anything with this long ass post.

How can every sentence you write be so melodramatic or flat-out wrong

You said you will not watch any games. That means you are no longer a fan. Exactly how do you “demand things change”?

I empathize that you lack the ability to comprehend it.
Maybe just read more everyone sucks posts. They seem to be at your intellectual ceiling.

All fans want winning and we don't have anything close to that.
Then you don’t want Deion sanders. But you say you do because the press conferences would be fun.

I don't understand how someone can be so fickle when your favorite team isn't winning…I don't understand why you need to start another thread about BB's supposed "ineptitude", just enjoy the complaining in the 3 or 4 other "complaining threads", they are easy to find. BB orchestrated a great team in a different era and is trying to adjust. I have faith he will, but he may not pull it off. It is what it is, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Pats

The purpose of the thread is not to simply dump on BB. It’s to opine on what his current mindset is. I find it fascinating to ponder what’s in his head having gone from the undisputed GOAT to running a team that is an absolute embarrassment and has regressed over FOUR YEARS.

It’s not being fickle to be disgusted with what’s transpired. This isn’t 2020.

We all have our own opinions regarding BB. I’ll respect yours.

I used to idolize him and wanted him to have the chance to build on his legacy post-Brady. He’s failed in an embarrassing fashion and I don’t have the same respect for him I once did.

Never this years mindset what was last years mindset he never made a move even though it was obvious that the fat matt experiment was a disaster half way through the season.

I don't understand how someone can be so fickle when your favorite team isn't winning. I just don't have the ability to turn it off. BB is the coach of my favorite football team, I will hope and have faith that he figures it out. Sure, I complain at times while watching the games, but I don't understand why you need to start another thread about BB's supposed "ineptitude", just enjoy the complaining in the 3 or 4 other "complaining threads", they are easy to find. It is what it is, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Pats every week since the Grogan days and there have been darker days than today's team. It is all fine, take a break from the team if you need it, but remember it's just a football game, not life and death.
Being critical of BB after 4 seasons of a rebuild with no clear improvement or path forward over that time isn't fickle. Most coaches would have been fired for the malfeasance and malpractice on display the last 4-5 years.

Tom Curran said, and I agree, that you'd almost have to try to build a roster this bad.

I think he’s in new territory.
He hasn’t been under even this much scrutiny in Cleveland.
My guess as any professional would do he’s questioning himself.
Seeing where and how he can improve.
Then there’s that doubt creeping in asking him if he can or should he ride out into the sunset.
I’m sure he’s concerned for his hall of fame bid and I’m sure his legacy and questions about that and the tarnish the last 4 years has done to it must weigh heavily.
I’m sure he is questioning how strong his relationship with Kraft is because if Robert no longer trusts him, we’ll trust is the hardest thing to regain.
He’s thinking would he want to continue coaching anywhere but here.
I’m sure he’s going thrru every missed draft opportunity and free agent mistake in his mind, well he at least should be.

Because my comments are based upon “everything he has said and done”

That’s a you problem. You vicariously took pride in his accomplishments and now are angry, lashing out and quitting on something you were only a voluntary observer of. It’s a shame.
