From Ian:

The fate of Bill Belichick as head coach of the New England Patriots has not yet been decided.
While the expectation is that a decision on his future will play out over the next month, sources also say it could take longer than that.

As the Patriots are set to play the Chiefs on Sunday, they'll do so on a one-game winning streak during a season in which wins have been few. If they make it two in a row, that could change things.

Sources say not only has owner Robert Kraft not come to a firm conclusion on what will happen next with his head-coaching situation, but the way New England finishes could go a long way in determining what's next.

Either way, expect a period of evaluation when the regular season ends, with no immediate conclusion on Belichick coming.

Nice job Curran…

Thank God.
Ironically how we finish determines whether we get a shot at a franchise QB or not.

Now this draft scares me at QB, Williams, Maye, Daniels, McCarthy,
Im really warming up to McCarthy.

What does "warming up to" mean? How do you warm up to a college QB prospect you don't know?

The idea that the decision "could take longer" than the end of the season is bizarre

Honestly, there's enough data that even not knowing right now is strange

That Kraft and his decision makers would base a decision on four meaningless games, and try to pump up the fanbase on a 4-5 win season culminating in beating the Zach Wilson Jets in a meaningless game, tells you everything you need to know about the dysfunctional state of the organization in 2023.

Here’s a question … rank all the coaches on the coach carousel after this year. Every team that gets rid of their coach will have William at the top
Of THEIR list …except us ??? Cmon now …

Curran:

He [Rap] reports tonight a “firm” decision hasn’t been made to part ways with Bill. So decision. But not firm. We agree.

What exactly are you confused about? It’s pretty damn clear what he means by “warming up.”

Professional sports exist for fans’ entertainment. We are allowed to have opinions lol; it’s not that serious, my dude.

If the rest of the season determines Bill's fate that is really effed up ...

Go by the same metric Belichick has used ... a year too soon better than a year to late.
Not that he did well by that method but judge him as he judged the players ...
what do you offer for the next few years ... will you earn your next contract ...

All the Super Bowls Brady helped win ... Belichick did not believe Tom would play worthy of a new contract.

Can the team save money and apply it elsewhere if they move on ...
He didn’t do well? He has had more success than anyone who has ever done the job.

No, you’re right; he didn’t do well with that method at all (just ignore the 6 Super Bowls and the most dominant 20-year run in the history of North American sports). Clown.

Did Bill believe the team should pay Brady for the past moving forward.
I am just thinking out loud here ... football is a business .... judge Bill the same ... right?
I hope Bill stays and the GM and player acquisition duties are better delegated ... but again is a business.
The brand matters .... the sponsors matter .... all of that must factor in like Bill factors in future X's and O's.

Should Kraft keep Bill around because of the good old days? Thinking out loud ... that's all.

Clown .... he has not done well by that method in recent years ...
we are in the 2020's era now .... sports is a business ... past victories are trophies and banners.
Belichick outside of perhaps Troy and Bruschi never kept anyone around for sentimental purposes.
