OT: Simmoms ... Atlanta Front Office Does Not Want Bill.

One Interview conducted:
Joe Brady, OC
Brian Johnson, DC
Ejiro Evero, DC
Steve Wilks, DC
Brian Callahan, OC (hired by TEN)
Mike Vrabel, ex-HC

Had/will have 2 interviews:
Bill Belichick, ex-HC
Raheem Morris, DC
Jim Harbaugh, HC (hired by LAC)
Bobby Slowick, OC (mtg w/ Blank at his home)
Ben Johnson, OC (rumor to be WAS HC)
Aaron Glenn, DC
Mike MacDonald, DC (rumor to be SEA HC)
Anthony Weaver, DL, AHC

Looks like it's between Belichick, Vrabel, Morris and Slowick.

My money is on Slowick.

What makes you believe that Bill can do any different than Vrabel or some other candidate that would not require a succession plan or a total redo of their entire personnel and philosophy?

Please don't use 6 rings as the reason. It's pretty conclusive that the dynasty died 4 years ago.
I'm thinking more from Atlanta's POV. They are kinda stuck in the mud and have a shot at the GOAT. There's always a Vrabel type ... there ain't always a goat. Granted, Bill may just over the hill, but I'd see if I could entice him with a new challenge)

Edit: There's always a Vrabel Raheem Morris type .

The successful team building strategy which worked here - "stumble ass backwards into the greatest QB in NFL history" - will be very difficult to replicate.
ha ha, not going to take the Bill vs Brady bait.

And what gives you the confidence he could do that in Atlanta when he couldn't do that here?
The big question to me is whether Bill is up for the challenge or not. Now that Linda's gone, what else does he have to do? :)

We know Ben Johnson is getting a job.

Harbaugh hired right away. Bill has not. Interesting.
Maybe bring him back as a consultant?
Doesn't look like he will have a job next season

Yes, rumored to go to Washington. ATL supposed to interview him next week after the NFCCG.

Given how fast things are moving and that ATL met the Rooney rule, I think we hear something by tomorrow, maybe even tonight.

I thought the Cowboys was ripe for the BB taking somebody have damaging pictures of someone.
*ring ring*
Bill: Hello.
Jerry: Bill! Jerry Jones. Hey listen, hypothetically, if I had a head coach opening, would you be interested?
Bill: Hypothetically?
JJ: Hypothetically.
BB: Would you be making the personnel calls?
JJ: Bill, listen. I am not Bob Kraft. I didn't buy this team and build this stadium only to have someone else run it for me. I didn't do it for Jimmy, and I am not going to turn it over to anyone else now. Follow me?
BB: *long silent pause* yeah, that's not going to work for me. Hypothetically.
JJ: Bill, here's the thing...
BB: Jerry... it's not going to work for me.
JJ: Well, what if we...
BB: It's just not going to work for me. See you on the golf course Jerry. I appreciate the call.

Blank should do that halftime 28-3 dance.

yes, he becomes Ernie Adams!

The GM and owners must look at the abilities and deficiencies of the HC candidates, and their successes over the past 5 years.

Surely, a HC candidate's history from more than 5 years ago has relatively little interest. Perhaps this would be of interest if hiring a consultant or advisor (e.g. like Josh).

? I was referring to Atlanta. Not all organizations. Do I think hiring Slowik would basically how why Atlanta keeps doing Atlanta things? Yes. You have Belichick right there, and you're going to hire a guy with one yr under his belt as an OC. The other guy is Raheem Morris. Both poor decisions, IMO, when Belichick is there.
and i pointed out that several teams (bucs, titans as well) seem to disagree and view guys with no HC experience as better options than BB which is a fact

You're going around in circles at this point.

The Bucs?

Did you mean the Commanders? The Bucs have a coach.

I pointed out that the Titans are on record as getting rid of Vrabel precisely because they wanted the front office making football and personnel decisions. There's no way they'd ever go with Belichick if they fired Vrabel for that.

The Commanders have a new owner who told local media he will attend all football meetings / strategy sessions between coaches.
