I think one thing important to note is that we hear time and time again that the Pats really pay attention to the locker room. They say goodbye to a guy who was an integral part of the team but sign another one to a solid contract. I think that sends a message to the rest of the locker room that while it is a business this is a team that will take care of players when it is possible.

That is 60% guaranteed money. I am fine with that seeing how consistent he is and the fact he only missed 3 games in his career. I am going to assume they gave him so much guaranteed cause they backloaded it a little.

9.6 was this years cap#. We signed him for 5 years APY for this years cap amount. And the cap has been increasing 10 mil a year and will probably eclipse that APY by 2019.

That and now he has bragging rights over his twin who got 6/44.

I don't know if he is saying Revis is gone or that he just realizes he may leave if the offers out there are too good.

McCourty said he and Revis will both be out in Arizona training this offseason.
