Is Fournette getting divorced? He's been much worse than Brady. How about Leftwich? Could explain the curious play-calling.I think the divorce definitely has messed with his head. He's missing throws he usually makes. There's no drop off physically from what I've seen it's all mental
Maybe the off field stuff is impacting his preparation, or physically like generally his sleep and appetite, but I don't think it's impacting his throws during an actual game. His completion percentage for the season is above his career average and he has only 1 pick in 340 attempts. The entire red zone operation, passing and running, isn't working. If they can improve that, even with the running game continuing to generally suck, then they'll be fine on offense. The defense needs an attitude adjustment and a healthier secondary.
I agree, after week 18. When they were 7-5 in 2020, everyone was dancing on Brady's grave and the Bucs didn't lose another game. 3-5 isn't as bad as it normally would be because the NFC is down this season and the South is a joke. It's a good bet they win their division as the 4 seed and then blow doors off some wild card opponent from the East. Is anyone afraid of Daniel Jones? Except for maybe the Giants fanbase. You are what your record says you are.
Even if they lose to the Rams this weekend, I'm not giving up on the division. Anything can happen in the postseason.
This narrative will change if they finish out the season strong. More than half the season is left.Sure, the Bucs don’t have a great overall supporting cast, but just looking at the offense, we’ve seen Tom do much more with much less. He isn’t horrible, but this is one of the few times in his career that he’s been unable to elevate the team solely by his own greatness.
