I have not read anything about this on here so I thought I'd post a little tidbit.

If the Jets are found guilty of tampering which I think they will be; it could effect our draft.

In 2008 San Fran was found to have tampered with the Bears on Lance Briggs. They lost their 5th round pick and were made to switch their 3rd (7th) with the Bears (12th). This moved them down and the Bears up.

So if a similar punishment is handed out the Jets could be forced to switch a pick with us.

The interesting thing is the Jets pick 6th and we pick 32nd. So if a pick swap happens in the 3rd or even 4th it is a pretty big step up in value for the Pats.

Something to keep in mind. Personally I'd love to swap in the 3rd and pick 70th instead of 96th.

^And when the Jets are involved. Also Jets shouldn't be allowed to acquire Revis for one year.

The jets will get in trouble for tampering with Revis when me **** turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.

I disagree. Revis was specified. Woody said he would have signed him for the 2 year 32mill deal that he signed for. Woody said that he wanted him back, and that the guy he fired didn't want him. How you can equate that to some unspecified player(s) from a team that if they are cut would have a home with no mention of money, is quite a stretch. Plus your not talking about just some player that may be cut but an multiple All-Pro on a divisional rival.

I would think a 3rd would be the punishment. Woody was warned by the NFL last year when he said that they would be interested in DeSean Jackson

I don't believe Woody got specific on terms. He said they made a mistake letting him go. And, wished he'd come back

Can't do that . Restraint of trade, Revis had nothing to do with the tampering, why should his options be restricted?

Very interesting. Getting a 5th and moving our 3rd up to their 3rd i think would be a nice little cherry on top of last season. It would mean that we would have cluster at the end of the 2nd/start of the 3rd and end of 3rd start of 4th.

“Darrelle is a great player,” Johnson said. “If I thought I could have gotten Darrelle, for that (contract), I probably would have taken him.”

Right there.

I really don't care as long as the end result is anything other than the Patriots suddenly needing a #1 CB.

Why is that? I would be happy as a pig eating **** to get the 70th pick in the draft, the more 2nd day picks the better. Plus the opportunity to say thank to jet fans every time that guy makes a play. This has little at all with keeping Revis, there are 30 other teams out there that would not be affected.

Good one. I didn't even know we had a humor board here. Where do I click for the draft board?

In the past, the penalty for tampering has been (A) the loss of a pick by the offender, and (B) the swap of a pick with the "victim."
