It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Ever since 2007 I always root for the Pats to lose a game early on to get it out of the way. I don't ever want to go through that 2007 BS ever again. Don't get me wrong,I'd love the Pats to go undefeated. But the possibilty of them going undefeated in the regular season & losing in the playoffs makes me suicidal. The SB loss this year has nothing on the 2007 loss. What don't kill you can only make you stronger. Hopefully in NE's case this makes them stronger. The Pats will win their 4th SB very soon. They're so close.
History shows that a team that loses the SB dosen't fair very well the next year.
I'm pretty sure this board could not handle a 9-7 regular season.
Brady and the rest of the pats have got to be pissed with the end of this season.
Brady's going to be like Rocky this offseason. Same with Wes. And everyone else who could have done better.
Grank and Hernandez should be moving into their prime. We've got good cap and draft prospects. At the end of the season we saw some sparks of play making in Moore and Spikes.
We've got McDaniels back, who did brilliant things in 2007. He's hungry for revenge from the end of that season too.
Nothing like a little defeat and a little mockery to stoke the fires.
2012 will be a historical year for BB + TB.
A big middle finger to the rest of the league.
Eh, what did they do after SB42? Im sure they were a little upset with that. Especially Strahan getting on stage and perminately stomping the pats out.

2006: Loses AFC Championship to Manning despite 21-3 lead.
2007: 18-1, the worst loss in sports-history, period.
2008: Suffers season-ending injury in first game
2009: Blown out at home by trash-talking Ravens
2010: Embarrassed at home by trash-talking Jets
2011: Defeated by Ravens again
I can't buy into the "Brady's pissed and wants revenge" theory anymore. The guy's season has ended in the most gut wrenching fashion every year since 2006. (Can make an argument for 2005 as well, though I don't feel it's as bad as any of the above)

History shows us that teams that are 18-0 going into the Superbowl win 50% of the time. I'll take those odds any day.

If Belichick dosen't use those first 4 draft picks on defense players from Alabama and LSU. I might take the year off from them anyway.
We will never win a SB so long as we continue to be the New England Colts.
And I don't want to hear about how few points we gave up.
All you have to do look at is the time of possesion. You can't score if you don't have the ball.
Giants defense and special teams beat us along with a few clutch plays on offense. NY beat us the same way we use to beat the Colts and now we have become the Colts.
We come to the point in the playoffs where all the offensive plays must be clutch and not just a few.
We had an easy road to the Ship. With a relativley easy opponent. That won't happen again soon. The real defense won out again against the duct tape bailing wire defense. Until we have a real defense I forsee a lot of 14-2 pain in the future.Or to stay in theme with the thread 18-1 pain.
Yeah, last SB we gave up 21 points, 6 of them on purpose.
