I'm in Vienna, VA. We are probably in the orange zone for more moderate danger but I'm not really sure I'm reading the threat level map on weather.com correctly. It's hard to say exactly because the map isn't precise. I'm worried because my 104 year old Victorian is surrounded by trees/foliage. And we already have a roof leak that has done cosiderable ceiling damage to one of our bathrooms. We're having a partial re- roof done ( can't afford a new one all at once, have to do bits and pieces) but obviously not until after this storm and I shudder to think of what the ceiling will look like. We're cutting a hole in the ceiling and sticking a bucket under it, I think. Anyway, good news is we're on a hill, so hopefully no flooding.Thanks.
We do have tall trees around our house. We are about 50-60 miles inland from the Bay, but they are right now evacuating all of Ocean city, MD.
I wonder what the odds are that VA/MD get earthquake aftershocks during the Cat 2 hurricane.
