What trigger man? What getaway car?

People are acting like this is some Mob hit. We have 5% of the information but people are already throwing Hernandez under the bus.

However all of this washes up ( guilty or not BTW he hasn't even been charged with anything ) and without getting preachy, i think it's pretty interesting how quickly this board can turn on a player on rumors and innuendo.
Sorry, but what we have goes far beyond rumors and innuendo. Even if you only look at what we know for sure, that's enough to raise some pretty serious alarm bells.

There are no dates given on those. Follow ups seem to indicate that the 4-some was seen together a day (well, night) earlier than the supposed murder date.

Just about an hour before Hernandez was caught on video walking into his home, Hernandez was seen at Lloyd's home in Dorchester.

"an hour" seems pretty clear to me. Certainly does not suggest a different date.

That's OK. But i would like if you or someone else who believes alarm bells are ringing have the time, to lay out in point form exactly what you have. Now it can't be a rumor it has to be what is fact.

Because from what i have seen there seems to be a lot of:

1.) "Police are interested in Hernandez's car and LLoyd was in that car" = next comment "The getaway driver is just as prosecutable as the trigger man" insinuating that Hernandez is a getaway driver.

2.) "Hernandez was seen with Lloyd the night before (now 2 nights before... then one night before)" Now being reported as an hour before? = So he was probably with him when he was shot.

I just think people are buying into the media hype here e.g NFL.com article on a Jets fan who followed Hernandez to his car last year heckling him but police were thee and stopped him... why is that now news? I just think people are buying into this without facts.

Don't take this as me saying Hernendez is innocent or guilty of anything. it's just me saying before people start typing his obituary lets get some actual facts.

If they shot the guy in Hernandez's house, why would they dump his body only a mile away from his house in a rent a car in his name? Some of these rumors make absolutely no sense.

Because violent criminals are dumb.

Things are looking good for Hernandez, but some of these stories defy logic.

The whole thing defies logic. Hernandez's best bet at this point is to cop a plea and rat out the shooter, assuming he's not the shooter.

Jayson Williams redux?

Well, what happened in Florida sounds like he accidentally shot one of his friends. Could lightning have struck twice?

Now Why Didn't I Think Of That??

And assuming he was involved in a shooting at all.

Dont you think that maybe these guys are dumb enough to do so? I mean, Hernandez is only 23 years old. He destroyed the surveillance system. He destroyed his phone. He had a cleaning company come out the day after. Im just trying to fit the pieces together!

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Just saying, imagine being Hernandez. Most likely he didn't know or cause what was going to happen but because of those he was with, he's done.

Right - I'm not making any excuses for the guy - and even the reported efforts to scrub down the house and destroy his own surveillance tape (obstruction of justice, and possible accessory to murder) - could have been more panic than rational thought

If he were rational he'd know that those actions alone would likely result in jail time

I haven't been following everything about this story, but from the rented car in his name, found at the scene, to the fact that he was with his girlfriend's boyfriend that night, it sounds to me like a drug deal went bad and Hernandez may, at the very least, have financed the car or the deal itself. (Like other "theorists" on this it seems to me unlikely that Hernandez would have killed his associate and knowingly allowed a rental car in his name left at the scene.)

That's still a career ending move - but at the very least he wouldn't be facing murder/accessory charges.

Seems to me the bottom line is that his career with the Patriots is over. Hopefully that "morals" clause in his contract minimizes the team's cap hit.

And assuming he was involved in a shooting at all.

He's definitely involved in the shooting, at least based on what's been reported, the question is to what extent.

Because violent criminals are dumb.

There's a difference between being dumb (making a dumb/careless mistake, doing something that may seem like a good idea at the time but in reality was a dumb decision) and doing something that makes absolutely zero sense like the scenario being described int he post you referred to.

What is the specific time Hernandez was seen at Lloyd's house and who saw him? And didn't Lloyd live with a family member? I believe that was reported.

A neighbor coincidentally has a surveillance camera that has Hernandez's house in frame? Because Hernandez's surveillance camera hard drive is damaged.

How long is it from Dorchester to North Attleboro. Because it seems like that might be cutting it close and they would have had to leave Lloyd's house right around the time he was seen, go straight to the industrial park, then also decide to leave a HUGE piece of evidence in a rental car in your name that is most definitely going to lead police to you.

If Hernandez did the shooting or was there and he destroyed the surveillance hard drive and called a cleaning crew, he just completely slipped up and left a car in his name at the scene? That's almost as bad as leaving the murder weapon.
