Just a thought trying to acquire an undervalued asset.
Should be able to get him for 4th rounder.
Have Stidham compete with Trubisky for the next year.
Give Trubisky to McDaniels for a year+ and see if he can renovate him.
The Chicago fans want to run him out of town but he’s very young and a fresh start might help him.

But is he undervalued ? Just because someone assigned a first round pick to him years ago doesn't mean that there is some hidden potential in him.

I thought about that he played well against us too.
What’s the highest you would go?

Pros are he is super-cheap and not a long term investment. Hes functional I guess. I'm not sold on him as a franchise QB. I'm not sold in Stidham either. Tough call.

1. I wouldn't want to take on the $4.4 million fully guaranteed (without offsets!) to give Trubisky a tryout.

2. I'm skeptical of how much McDaniels could fix him when the NFL has now announced that players aren't allowed in team facilities until all states have lifted restrictions, not just the state where a particular team is located. It could be a while.

Pats might need to give late 3rd so that Chicago can save a little face.

Why do you hate the New England Patriots and their fan base?

Pass on Pitch Trubisky

There's quite a few 1st round busts I'd be okay with taking a flier on. Trubisky, not so much. From day 1, I didn't understand why he was drafted as early as he was. He's basically what we exaggerate Josh Allen to be: a strong arm and reasonable athleticism with absolutely no QB skills.

QB A:
Completion %: 61.9%
Int %: 2.5%
Yds/Completion: 10.7
69 TD
38 Int

QB B:
Completion %: 63.4%
Int %: 2.3%
Yds/Completion: 10.5
48 TD
29 Int

B is Trubisky and A is Brady's first 3 years as a starter. The rate stats aren't bad, perhaps the counting stats say more about the rest of the Chicago offense?

I don't think they should give up an asset for a guy who would be the 3rd stringer.

LOL! That's cute how you think comparing QB stats from such different eras is a valid comparison (and yes, Brady's first few years as a starter were an entirely different era)

No. They say "This is why using statistics without context is often a very bad idea".

I would say pass whatever your smoking but social distancing. Make some edibles and mail them to me?

That's probably fair. This is Brady's last 3 years:

Brady 2016-2019:
Completion %: 64.2%
Int %: 1.5%
Yds/Completion: 11.5

Trubisky:
Completion %: 63.4%
Int %: 2.3%
Yds/Completion: 10.5

Rate stats still don't look as bad as the stigma seems to imply, considering someone like Josh "future franchise QB" Allen is at 56.3%/2.7%

Let’s trade for Josh Rosen, or bring in Flacco and Winston while we’re at it.

Josh Allen is 10 times the QB Trubisky is, and Josh Allen isn't even that good.

This is cherry picking. Looks like you're including Brady's first year where he completely sat on the bench.
