Iv'e been over this before with another one of you Colts fans. I own a business with over 1,000 clients and over 90% of them wanted the Bears to win, actually, they just wanted the Colts to lose. Also, I had a couple of friends of mine who went to the game (they thought they were smart buying tickets at halftime of the AFCCG; stupid is more like it) and they said 80% of the fans at the game and the crowds milling around at all the events were Bears fans.
It may be tough for you to be impartial as a Colts fan, but try sometime to watch to a game the Colts are in and listen to the Payton ball washing that goes on with the announcers; it's over the top annoying. And please don't respond by saying Brady gets the same kind of treatment, don't even go there.
The Colts remind me a lot of the Steelers last year; they came close several times, losing not one but two AFCCG to the Patriots at home when they were loaded (15-1 the second time) and should have won both. Your Colts team did the same thing, losing to us in the AFCCG in 2003 and coming here with this offensive machine in 2004 and getting their asses handed to them, 20-3.
They gagged BIGTIME last year, #1 seed, choking to the Steelers in the first round. This year, they kind of snuck up on people just like the Steelers did two years ago, everyone thought the Chiefs would run wild on them, the Ravens D would shut them down (they basically did, but the Ravens offense sucks), the Patriots would dominate as in the past, but none of that happened.
I see the Colts going the way of the Steelers; one and done. And as far as comparing the Colts/Patriots to Red Sox/Yankees, there is one huge difference; the Colts had home field advantage (that is all we heard around here afew years ago from Colts fans "If we had home field, we'd beat you guys") and SHOULD have won the game and did, escaping by the skin of their nuts. They trailed in the fycking game for 59 minutes, not like they blew the Patriots off the field like all you Colts fans thought they would now that they had home field advantage.
As far as the Super Bowl, your team played like **** for most of it, letting the Bears hang around, they had the ball down by one score with 11 minutes left, what a joke. Enjoy your Super Bowl win dude.
