gave the Patriots a better chance to win than Brady.

Bledsoe had a history of making bad decisions, just like Vick

So do you think that Pats should have traded Brady & kept Bledsoe?

I am not saying Kolb is Brady, but I am saying that Vick
has a history of making bad decisions when the game is on the line.

Reid is trying to keep his job?

I think we're coming to the end of the Andy Reid era here in Philly. He's one of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL and while winning a Super Bowl buys you 'street cred' and job security, just getting there and going 1-4 in conference championships gets old after a while. McNabb shouldered much of the blame and if he goes lights out in DC this year and gets them to the playoffs while Philly is at home, people here will go nuts.
As for McNabb, I differentiate what he did on the field from off. Off the field, I'm repulsed by what he did to dogs ( note the avatar) but he did jail time and has paid his debt to society. I don't like it and wouldn't want my kids to put his poster up on their wall.
On the field, he's exciting but as posters noted, scrambling QBs don't win it all. He has developed ( at least the last 6 quarters) into a pocket passer which he wasn't before and running is a last resort, not a first option as it was in Atlanta. They may win this year but he is on a one year contract and unless the Eagles sign him long term ( what do you do with Kolb- trade him?? who's the backup then??) they have a looming QB crisis, especially if Vick leaves and Kolb is not the answer.....

So multiple seasons of watching Vick is equal to what.... three, four starts by Kolb?

After a few starts by that Brady guy, we shoulda been rid of that guy, too! Look at how the Dolphins destroyed that kid! Crap quarterback, never will amount to anything.

Quarterbacks take TIME to mature.

EDIT: As much as I was/am a huge Bledsoe fan, I can say it's due to Belichick's faith in Brady that Brady was able to develop as he did. A quarterback who doesn't have the strong backing of their head coach is doomed to failure.

Even veteran ones, to be honest. It was no secret Belichick didn't like Bledsoe and wasn't entirely unhappy he had the chance to replace him with his pick in Brady. It was no secret the Bills wanted Losman in there over Bledsoe. I'm pretty sure Bledsoe had some of his worst seasons when the bosses decided they wanted the new flashy QBs over him (babbling at this point, sorry).

Trading McPuke to DC was not a stupid move. He has proven over the last decade that he will never lead anybody to the championship, unless he has the league's best running game & the league's best defense to carry him there. And the Skins have neither.

And if Top Dog didn't play the best game of his career since he beat the Packers in Lambeau during the '02 POs, then Kolb would prob. start tomorrow vs. Jax.

It's a knee jerk reaction that will stunt Kolb's development, divide the fanbase and locker room.
It shows a lack of confidence in Kolb, in which case he should have hung onto McNabb as McNabb is better than Vick.

Michael Vick is a horrible person and its dumb how some people here are defending him and like him. I remember back when people here said he was overrated and now you guys are saying he is some kind legendary qb all of a sudden? since when? I hope the eagles lose every game with him as qb.

I remember when it was actually of some concern to the general public how these role models conducted themselves. It is a shameful reality that the fan base can look the other way, ignore the posters of these guys in their children's rooms, provided the team puts points on the board.

He did a year in the joint, lost all his money, probably receives death threats on a daily basis from PETA wackjobs--he's paid the price IMO.

He took a lot of lives too.
While some feel an animal's life is not that precious, I look at all life as being valuable.
I can't forgive Vick for what he is done and do not wish for him to succeed, unless he donates the balance of his life to charitable causes and not mansions, cars, women, and material living.
